I am banging along the A66 all the way to the A1,then a bit of A1, some more A66, then the A171 straight to Whitby.... (three roads... hhmmm not too hard! )

is that near enough to meet any of you?

edit: tries to remember what postman pat looks like... but was a bit drunk at the BBq lol...

Re: Whitby Abbey Sunday 1st October

ok... been looking at the map, and junction 40 M1, you'll prolly be off to the A1, then accross on the A170... I would have been north of the moors on the A171, but I could come down the A1 to meet you all at junction 49 or something?!? we could come off juncion 49 of the A1 (A168) , and meet at the first safe stop point?, dunnoo.... adds a bit to me journey! lol....

Are we still looking at a 1230 meet up time at Whitby???? Mi TomTom says 2 hours from our house so just wanted to confirm the start time.

I have the screwdrivers at the ready Chris. I had a look at the sidelights this mornin'......... i reckon i could get to the drivers side one but i don't know how the hell you got the passenger side one!!!!! I'll watch and learn. ....... As long as it's not chuckin' it down!!!

Its a software application and cable which plugs into your Diagnostic port under the right hand cubby hole( a sharp tug downwards on the lid, when open, reveals it). It gives direct access to the car's UCU and therefore various parameters can be changed. The obvious one is a remap BUT simple things like setting up the automatic locking the doors, reading fault codes and changing the Xenon light heights (for those of us that have them), and many more. The cable is cheap to buy but the software has to be bought (£80 last time I looked)
Convoy. Sorry cant, I'm in Scarborough on Saturday, will be driving from there on Sunday morning. CU Sunday !

Would love to come as it's just down the road, but we had our first baby last night and I'm not sure if it is good form to leave Mrs & Baby so soon after to go and play out. Might see you all there,
Cheers,
Andrew.
p.s. Baby girl, 8lb 5oz, named Madeleine.
