| Re: Whitby Abbey Sunday 1st October I was planning on setting off about 9.30, m62, a1, a64, a169, a171. arriving 11.45 if no traffic or hold ups . Don't know the road to suggest any laybys for meeting to be honest. Only place I can think of is junction of A64 and A169 at old Malton not sure how close Eden camp is to main road to meet in car park there for departure of say 10.45 for run to Whitby.Ethan if you are struggling to find your way I could meet you at junction 28 M62

| Briskodian | Re: Whitby Abbey Sunday 1st October Count me in as a 'maybe +1'. The wife hasn't been too good (healthwise) today - so depends how she is tomorrow. Sharky, I live near Whitehaven so will be taking same route if going. What time you setting off?

| Re: Whitby Abbey Sunday 1st October Thanks to everyone for making it a good do. Weather just behaved although sharkrider got soaked. You should be used to it in Keswick!! Anyway between showers whilst one or two were hyper-ventilating back up the 199 steps, I took some pics. Here: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Aidensfield Arms! | Re: Whitby Abbey Sunday 1st October Just got back, called in at Bridlington, and then went back on the M62, what a balls up, signs saying come off at M18 J33 / J34 closed, don't want them so carry on, matrix says down to 1 lane, queing trafic for 10 mile, M-way wasn't down to one lane it was flamin closed and it opened just as we reached front of queue. still don't know what it was closed for. To you guys who went home via Goathland/ Pickering, was it still like Brixton in the 80's? On the way there I have never seen as many riot vans parked up not to mention the three sat linked mobile command posts either there was an escapee on the loose or they where expecting trouble from the blue rinse Heartbeat groupies Tried searching the net but can't find what was going on.Still nice to meet you all (again) and will probably see you in Keswick/Weston.
