Whitby Abbey Sunday 1st October

This is a discussion on Whitby Abbey Sunday 1st October within the Yorkshire Skoda Meets forums, part of the Skoda Regional Meets & Events category; that would do it. Any idea on the pickering riots...

Re: Whitby Abbey Sunday 1st October

Good meet....... The weather was good for the most part... mainly rained when we were out in the cars.

Chris..... Thanks for your attempts to fit the sidelight LED's....... At least now we know that they're a little more difficult (nie on impossible!!!!!) to fit on the '06 onwards Furbies!!! Thanks for tryin' anyhows and i'll let you know whether i have a go or leave it for the dealer etc... By the way, are the one's you were wanting to get rid of the same as you have in your rear plate lights??? if so any chance you could take a pic of them in the dark? as mine have a big dark area in the middle of the plate as they are only 4LED festoons and those you had seemed as though they would be a bit brighter.

Daz..... I never realised you had arrived at the meet..... i was wanting the intake pipe you were floggin' but thought you'd been unable to make it....... Looks like i'll have to get one from Seat instead.

Anyhows a couple of pics i took myself..... seeing as it was the first time i'd remembered to take the bloody camera to a meet!!!!!

.

Cheers

Dave.

Re: Whitby Abbey Sunday 1st October

We called in the pub at Goathland, to get some respite from the H.C. and 'overheard' some police saying it was a huge training exercise combining pursuit training and IAM instructing.
Nice to see some new faces, albeit briefly.
Does anyone want a free temperamental 15 year old

We wondered if it was some sort of training exercise etc.... as we travelled back home.

Cheers

It's only because she was saving all her pmt up for me and Shelagh in the car
She never stopped whining all the way home.
And it was MY fault there were cars in front of me, and MY fault the shopping centre was shut, and it was even MY fault she needed a poo in the middle of nowhere, BAH

Looks like I missed a good day - unfortunately, the wife comes first. (See my last post).
Sharkrider, I'm going to try and get the day off to go to Keswick.

Re: Whitby Abbey Sunday 1st October

HI everyone

Sorry i couldnt hang around longer but farm work never stops at this time of year! If i had known it was going to rain i could have stayed a while!

When i went over the moor and spotted all the police thought someone must have tipped them off about the BRISKODA meet!

It was me, I like that loud pedal. I still got average 48mpg.
I hate traffic, it really stress's me out. You kept up though so you like the loud pedal too.

You did say that you were going to give it the beans with ASR off. I thought it was too wet for that?

Yes way too wet for ASR off, It just sat there spinning when i did have it off.
Although good Job I dont need some new tyres yet, as there only half worn i have two sets of markers on the tyres ones to show me half worn and then others to show me iam screwed if pulled over by the law. Shame for the weather but a good meet all the same.
