  1. I've bought a 12 month old VRS which I hopefully collect on Thursday. However' date=' I remember seeing a couple of things with have confused me.

First off, it had what I assumed were blanking plates in the back bumper, which I thought were for the parking sensors. Thing is, looking at pictures of other octys, they dont have them. Does this mean that it actually has the extra and noone's noticed?

Also, on the stalks (on steering wheel, for indicators etc), there was some strange buttons. Meant to ask someone what they were and forgot! Could they have been Cruise Control? Cant find any pictures on the net to compare.

Anyways, end of the week I'll be a VRS driver, no doubt getting laughed at for driving a Skoda !

    Cheers[/quote']

Not sure on the parking sensors, but I would guess that you have them. It sounds like you do indeed have cruise fitted as well.

  2. Thanks!!!

Now, in Audi world, they recommend......no, specify that there S, RS and TTs are lubed with 503.01 which presumably is a better oil for the higher output turbo vehicles. Would anyone say that a modded car would benefit from the use of said oil?????

  3. Only even seen it on my web travels in one place, more of a boys club membership, though. Maybe not exactly as wanted:

Important news for the owners of Skoda vehicles 3 years old and over.

The Club Skoda programme covers Skoda vehicles 3 years old and over* and caters for all servicing, maintenance and MOT requirements.

You will also be able to take advantage of discounts on accessories and special promotions.

    The benefits:

  4. Depends if thats fixed or variable servicing........but personal think that is a bit steep for what essentially involves oil, filter, air filter, pollen filter and a quick look around at things....unless I talking out of my preverbial :D we'll soon see!!!

  5. I've had my K104s for about 1500 miles and I think they have just bed in properly now. Was impressed after the first 200 miles but they were just getting better and better.........and the traction doesn't kick in now if I boot it in second :D. I did 'monitor' the price of them on mytyre, and did see them as high as

  6. Haven't tried mine yet - sorry if I've misled anybody :o

Not aimed at you Nick....just you posted a place to get the cable cheap and I decided to get it from there, I was under no impression that you were endorsing the supplier.

If you do get around to trying it though, I would be interested to hear how you get on with it.....

  7. I've got one based on the ELM chip. I managed to get it talking with the car using two other types of SW but not either of the VAG-COM ones?

Anyone else using an ELM based cable?

What software have you tried then???

PS. I am on holiday this week, so only have dialup :thumbdwn: Never thought I would look forward to returning to work :D

  8. Morning,

I am need of some kind professional to take a look at my wheel and give me a verdict on whether they can repair it 'as new'.

Does any one have any recommendations of companies in the Midlands and Surrey areas???

I've had a look on the web and through our forum but most are too far north or southeast!!!!

    Any advice would be good.

    Cheers!! :(

  9. I have used Meguiars since I bought the car. Have had nothing but complements, when it's clean!! :D , and even recommended it to several people who are now converts. The deep shine I get is worth the effort. I even use a mechanical polisher  (hears lots of air being sucked in over teeth from fellow briskodians!!) and the results are top notch with no swirls. Maybe Rich1068 can comment after he liked the look of my car.
