You require something like a hacksaw blade cut into several pieces......but I would recommend using a blunt one
-
I've heard of Silkolene Prorace 2000 Super DOT 4 brake and clutch fluid but I'm sure the likes of Castrol do one as well....not really looked into it yet.
-
I think it is only possible to upgrade to Super dot 4, and not 5.1 because of it being totally synthetic and not backwards compatible.

Thanks!!!
Now, in Audi world, they recommend......no, specify that there S, RS and TTs are lubed with 503.01 which presumably is a better oil for the higher output turbo vehicles. Would anyone say that a modded car would benefit from the use of said oil?????
-
Is there a list of the different oil manufacturers (and their products) that meet the appropriate VW specs???? Particularly VW 503.

:iagree:
I find that a progessive press of the pedal does make a difference........about 3/10 of a second when trying out launching to 60!!

Only even seen it on my web travels in one place, more of a boys club membership, though. Maybe not exactly as wanted:
Important news for the owners of Skoda vehicles 3 years old and over. The Club Skoda programme covers Skoda vehicles 3 years old and over* and caters for all servicing, maintenance and MOT requirements.
You will also be able to take advantage of discounts on accessories and special promotions.
The benefits:

Depends if thats fixed or variable servicing........but personal think that is a bit steep for what essentially involves oil, filter, air filter, pollen filter and a quick look around at things....unless I talking out of my preverbial we'll soon see!!!

I've had my K104s for about 1500 miles and I think they have just bed in properly now. Was impressed after the first 200 miles but they were just getting better and better.........and the traction doesn't kick in now if I boot it in second . I did 'monitor' the price of them on mytyre, and did see them as high as

Haven't tried mine yet - sorry if I've misled anybody
Not aimed at you Nick....just you posted a place to get the cable cheap and I decided to get it from there, I was under no impression that you were endorsing the supplier.
If you do get around to trying it though, I would be interested to hear how you get on with it.....

I've got one based on the ELM chip. I managed to get it talking with the car using two other types of SW but not either of the VAG-COM ones?
Anyone else using an ELM based cable?
What software have you tried then???

PS. I am on holiday this week, so only have dialup :thumbdwn: Never thought I would look forward to returning to work

Is there any VAGCOM gurus out there can help with a cable problem???
After ncarring pointed out that you can source cheap vagcom cables from China, I got myself one. For

Nick,
I don't think it just you.
When I have driven an older non-DBW car I 'perceive' the revs to drop off sooner then when I drive my DBW RS. Perhaps the electronics aren't that quick at registering the change in throttle position?!?!?!?!?

Can we all come round and have a go on the taxiway??
-
The 'swabs' I can get out in about 5 seconds flat....the seat backs take about 10 seconds. Anyway, in under 2 minutes the entire rear seats can be whipped out.

Morning,
I am need of some kind professional to take a look at my wheel and give me a verdict on whether they can repair it 'as new'.
Does any one have any recommendations of companies in the Midlands and Surrey areas???
I've had a look on the web and through our forum but most are too far north or southeast!!!!
Any advice would be good.
Cheers!! :(

Not had this problem, but I noticed one was laying half off when I got in one day. I then put a little silicone sealant on the pedal and put it back on.

I have used Meguiars since I bought the car. Have had nothing but complements, when it's clean!! , and even recommended it to several people who are now converts. The deep shine I get is worth the effort. I even use a mechanical polisher  (hears lots of air being sucked in over teeth from fellow briskodians!!) and the results are top notch with no swirls. Maybe Rich1068 can comment after he liked the look of my car.

I regret not getting insurance of my own earlier. My first year I had a 2yr old Vectra SRi 140 to insure!!!! Not pleasant......could of had 7yrs NCB to use if I had taken the plunge, bit the bullet etc.
GO FOR IT...it's only expensive the first year, then you get 30%.
