  1. Personally I have 215 on mine and I've found the TR1 Toyo's are good
  2. You get use to the idle - I upgraded to those items about 2 months back and can't complain FYI to anyone reading this and thinking of doing it them selves - buy the Powerflex bushes - the seat ones are a bugger to fit!

  4. I have had a look at those but I have an old kitchen cupboard I want to place over the unit so the Argos setup wont work. I was thinking of either this (while replacing the boards) or spend a bit more cash and get this
  5. Hello, I've recently moved house and now have my own garage. Ideally I'd like to get a work bench and were wondering if anyone had some suggestions. The Bench can't be more than 5ft by 3ft due to the limited room.
  6. I know their twice as much but I've fitted both the cupra and the power flex bushes and the latter were much easier to fit
  7. I haven't seen this issue on my mothers car which has cupra bushes fitted however have you thought about changing the bushes on your anti-roll bar? I know this can cause a some creaking.
  8. My mother got one of these is 2003 and while there has been a few issues (console bushes, rear door leaks and heater problems) the car it self has been fine. Of course regular servicing helps keep the car going
  9. Do you have plans on making any more? I'd love to get an SE one
  10. Many thanks for all the very quick replies chaps roll on pay day
  11. Does the ebay setup I've linked include the carriers for a fabia or would I need to purchase different ones? Also would braided hoses be recommended?
  12. I'm thinking of upgrading my brakes to either the 312mm setup everyone gets or a Bembo 2pot caliper system. What else would be required for this 312mm setup? 312mm Red Calipers As for a Brembo setup what is required and what should I look out for? Ideally I'd like the calipers red to match what the special edition comes with. Also I run standard 17" Spiders. Would i need spacers?
  13. Cheers fella - looks like I'll need a replacement set soon :(
  14. Hello, I've got a quick question: What is the minimum thickness for the Discs on a vRS (running the OEM 288mm vented units). Many thanks.
  15. i've just gone through all this my self. The car had uneven tyre wear on the insides. I had the car tracked and they claimed the wheels were out however a few days later the car was still pulling to one side. When I took it back to the garage they confirmed the tracking was correct but one of my rear console bushes was splitting which had caused the ball joint to wear too. I'd recommend getting at least the bushes checked out as well as the ball joints.
  16. My mothers had them on her std TDi for about a year now with no complaints.
  17. If you get the 19mm Power Flex ones they come with some grease. As for the fitting I'm unsure as I'm going to be doing it soon myself.
  18. Yeah Awesome quoted me around 4 hours labour too. Quick question - did you notice a difference between the wishbones? IE can they be used for either side? Also how easy did you find it using the PF bushes?
  19. Do you have to prime the unit with fuel before installing it?
  20. Would it be possible for you to add a picture of it fitted?
  21. Dam I should get it done. I'm on 49k and never touched it.
  22. Few questions about the fuel system on the vRS and unfortunately I don't have the Haynes manual to hand. Firstly at what mileage do you normally change them and secondly which is the better unit? I've been on Euro Car Parts and they have two for sale but at almost double the price. Guttmann Fuel Filter £13.14 or the Bosch Fuel Filter £25.14. Is the Bosch one really that better or is it classed as OEM?
  23. Hi, Sorry to threat-jack this post but I didn't think creating a new thread would valid my question. Has anyone changed the front wishbone bushes as well? Reason I ask is I'm re-newing my wishbones and wanted to know if the Powerflex = PFF85-201 units are any good? according the a tread linked to in this section people have reported problems.
