  1. Thank you for the suggestion. I'll do that straight away. Regards.
  2. Hi, I have an 2021 Octavia 1.5 e-Tec with an automatic gearbox. On a recent run (100 miles) a warning sign lit up on the dashboard. This was a gear shaped amber light with an exclamation mark inside. At the same time a warning triangle flashed up. I checked the gear shaped sign and found that it was something to do with an overheating gearbox. Later on the journey the sign disappeared. The next day it reappeared, only to disappear after an hour or so. If any one can help, I have two questions. 1. Is the car safe to drive? 2. I'm told by the local Skoda dealer that they are "full up" with appointments until July. Is there an alternative specialist firm that I might contact - as an alternative to Skoda - who will be able to fix the problem? Thanks in advance. Tico
  3. Thank you all for the help. got it now.
  4. Thanks for the responses. I'm trying to find the total mileage since new. Two photos of dashboard attached. Thanks
  5. Hi, I'm trying to find my total mileage on my Skoda Octavia hybrid electric 2021. I'v tried all the possibilities but it's not appearing anywhere. Can anyone please advise? Thanks Tico
  6. For all the replies I am very grateful. Now, I fully understand the whole situation regarding the amount of fuel left, so thank you. By the way, I did fill up today and, to my delight, I found that the price of fuel has dropped to £1.38 in my area. In future - and following all your advice, I think I'll let the run down to the last line. Thanks to all Tico
  7. Thanks for replying. As you can see from the attached photo, the petrol has gone below the tick sign and i will, as usual, fill up today. But how far could I let the petrol fall? e.g in an emergency situation, if I couldn't get to a garage. Any advice gratefully received.
  8. Advice on petrol Hi, My Hybrid has a petrol gauge with a tick on the indicator about 3/5 the way down. I use this to indicate that I should think about filling up asap. But am I correct? Or is the tick for something else. Advice please.

    Sat Nav

    B. Hughes Thanks for your help. I'll check it out. Regarding the model of the infotainment system, I'll have to try to find that as there is no indication in the car's manual. But thanks. Tico
  10. I am a new owner of an Octavia 1.5 e-Tec. The "Infotainment" system is Columbus (I think). I have a problem with the Sat Nav because I can't delete destination entries, For example, I have entered a destination which I no longer need. But nowhere is there an opportunity to delete it. The Owner Manual say very little about the Sat Sav and makes no mention of a delete facility. If any member can help I'd be grateful. I don't know the name of the Sat Nav system, but if there was a separate operating manual available, I'd love to get hold of one. Thanks in advance for any help.
  11. Hi, Just joined and looking forward to sharing with community. I've recently started driving A Skoda Octavia 1.5 e-Tec after years of driving Toyotas. Very satisfied. That said, I'm not very technical so now have to get through a great deal of hands - on practice in the coming weeks (and probably months). Sat Navi appears difficult, but I'll post my specific problem separately. Best wishes to all, Tico
