  1. We also have a new dealer starting this week in the West Yorkshire area, keep an eye on our website for details
  2. Further to that, a dealer can only overwrite your map if they have a factory update available, which is unlikely as there was only 1 IIRC for the Octavia vRS
  3. Fair enough, I know all about working a lot so I feel your pain. But your stock map does not need to be back on, I'm not sure who replied to your email but Nick would have known that. It just needs an original map putting back on which we will have on file, and any other good tuner would too. You're not cringeworthy, but the pain you're putting yourself through for what could be fixed in approximately 3.5 minutes is unreal!
  4. You do not need a new ECU or anything like that, we can reflash your stock, original, 100% factory map for you, please just pick up the phone and talk to us on 01623 332233 because the amount of pain you're putting yourself through is honestly making me cringe. Put simply: it does not need to be half as difficult as it appears to be (or as you are writing) when you speak to someone who knows what they're talking about!
  5. All 1.4TDI Fabias without DPF are EDC15. The listings on the website might be a year out, but we can map all ECUs from the Skoda range apart from the 1.6TDI at the moment, so it's no problem.
  6. It'll be fine but could overboost without the cat there, so drive carefully and you'll have no problem.
  7. I know what you're saying, but you don't need to have an STS, you could just come here for the map, or to one of our dealers (and there will be one closer to you than us at HQ very shortly).
  8. I'm pretty sure that totally conflicts what "Stage 1" is all about - i.e. it's supposed to be a map for a vanilla car. We had some bad press for this surging issue on remapped cars, but we've fixed it after a lot of hard work and updated all our customers with the newest version of the map. We might not be the cheapest but that's exactly why, customer support is very important to us and we have the knowledge and ability to overcome issues when they arise.
  9. Yes you can diagnose this with VCDS, you're looking for a G201 Brake Pressure Sender error. You'll be pleased to know that you can now buy repair kits from VW/Skoda for the pump and you don't need to have it replaced entirely at £1000+. Depending on which pump yours is the repair kit is usually around £160. Some are more expensive but as far as I know, not by much. Our quote to replace it (depending on the price of the pump, but it's probably the same as above) is £263.48 including VAT.
  10. 1.9TDI never had Siemens injectors, all Bosch injection system including ECU
  11. You weren't "lucky" - although not any vRS map would have done, but there are only 3/4 versions for the 1.8T vRS. To the OP - any remapping company should be able to put your car back to standard. We had some bad press about "surge" issues a while ago but addressed the issue and it's now sorted, and we're back to happy customers once more. Our Self Tuning System works with your car so no need to travel if you do want to use us - see www.sharkperformance.co.uk/sts.asp for details
  12. Sounds like a failing clutch switch to me. Around £10 job done.
  13. That is a cheap price, our normal price with the water pump on the 2.0TFSI all inclusive is £350
  14. We have 10% off and free fitting until the end of May (i.e. tomorrow) if that helps?
  15. Yes I know the road network doesn't lend itself to speedy travel in Lincolnshire! We don't sell our remaps based upon MPG increases but generally customers report that their MPG gets a little better, 10% or so. You're right in that increasing the injection will use more fuel and so if it's driven hard, then your economy may go down, it all depends on how it's driven.
  16. If we're 2.5 hours away from anywhere in Lincolnshire, then you definitely need a remap!!
  17. Not sure I'll make it now chaps. Have a good one
  18. I've had N6000s and think they're a pretty good tyre.
  19. The TSI VRS is also rated at 200PS not the 211PS as per Golf Mk6 GTI et al.
  20. The ash doesn't get ejected, it stays in the filter, hence why they eventually block up and have to be replaced (or of course removed).
  21. The output is the same as the old 2.0TFSI unit but the engine in the 2.0T Superb is the new EA888 2.0TSI as we know it, but much of the literature still says TFSI.
  22. Hmm, not sure where my last post went. If you'd like to discuss it further, please contact us.
  23. And could you please clarify exactly what about post #10 you'd like me to take action with? Jesus, this is like getting blood from a stone!
