Does anyone mind if I attend in my invalid state? I can walk so don't need wheeling around or anything.. -
It's possible to do it on a few different ECUs, here's my Mk1 Octavia shot after hours in our old car park (eh hem) on standard management http://www.youtube.c...bed/M72FpIc12u0 Edit - tried to embed it but can't find it in the options
-
Sorry chaps, that stuff's all in my head! It'll be a few weeks before I'm back in the game but hoping to be back to work on light duties in mid/late May in time for the show season Hope to be able to help you then. Cheers

If your car is 2009 then our STS will work for you See http://www.sharkperformance.co.uk/sts.asp for details

The DPF is in the front-most section (front pipe) and seperates from the rest of the exhaust. If you had the DPF removed and needed/wanted to replace the rest of the exhaust then you could do without issue.

Thanks to Rob @ W8 Performance!

At Stage 1 level this really isn't an issue - that's the point of a Stage 1 map, a good safe increase in power. Beyond that sometimes needs a little more intervention but I'm sure you understand how a dealer network works for every tuning company, and it's not fair to say that every car is automatically going to have a problem that needs hours of logging and dyno runs just for it to run properly at Stage 1. -
You'd have to demonstrate exactly what you mean regarding the power loss issue, we can work with you to solve it. For both we'd need your car for most of the day, 4-5 hours.
-
We can do that for you. Our DSG remaps are £249 inc VAT or £199 to existing customers (or if you purchase an ECU map at the same time).

All Shark dealers can offer problem free software, however not all Shark dealers have workshop facilities (such as W8) to carry out mechanical work. I'm afraid that's complete rubbish, we've been doing DPF removals for years with absolutely no issues (leading the market for many applications) and to say that they have to be regularly reprogrammed is incorrect. Not many companies properly understand the ECU that's used in the PD170, in fact our biggest competitor doesn't even offer remaps for the PD170 at all. Yesterday's workshop job was a 2011 Audi A5 3.0TDI for DPF removal, remap and full Milltek. Monday was an Golf PD170 DPF removal and remap, Friday's job was a Leon PD170 DPF off and remap. We do scores of them successfully and are proud to be trusted with cars such as those. Now that is good advice. There are lots of companies out there claiming to be able to do this and very few who actually can. As with everything, you pay your money and take your choice. We offer two stages of DPF removal, Stage 0 with standard power for £449 all inclusive, and Stage 1/2 power maps along with DPF removal for £669. Hope that helps! If you'd like any more information please call the office (I'm off work at the moment but I'm going stir crazy hence why I'm following the forums!).

Yes, half an hour or so. What are you moving on to?

I have a documented 710 range in my Volvo D5... But it was in limp mode!!
-
Coasting in neutral is usually bad for MPG. While your foot is off the loud pedal, the injectors are closed and no fuel is injected. In neutral fuel is injected (0.6gal/hr approx) on tickover.

We're happy to return it to stock FOC, I believe a dealer can only do it if there is an update available for your car, they can't just flash it.
-
Hi, We have had many customers come to us the PD170 stutter and have fixed all of them! Please see this thread for more information HERE. Our remap on the PD170 is £349incVAT. Thanks. Rob

If it doesn't go, I would be interested in taking this

Aye, you know what the American forums are like.. They don't listen to anything else! I'm getting there thanks for asking.. Positively cackIng myself but this time next week it'll all be over, and I'll be on the road to recovery. That can only be a positive thing -

Yes it is, it makes the results as comparable as possible. Looking back at the graphs the difference in raw data (captured WHP) between your car in August and he car today is 0.8WHP. -

The previous run to your 205hp graph was 211.1, but the torque was incorrectly displayed due to the dyno being calibrated to a different gear to the one used for the run. Yours was run in summer, this one in winter, 4hp can easily be lost or gained there so I'd say both were pretty much on par with each other -
Please feel free to call the office on 01623 332233 and talk to one of the team. I'm off sick and Cheryl doesn't work for us any more.

I have a 3600 maintenance charger that I used to use for my S2, and a much larger one (can't remember the model) that I bought for use in the workshop. Very happy with both of them
