Sounds like it's time to talk to your tuner, or book it in to a specialist to have it checked over.

The newest version definitely does, so update your VCDS and it'll be no problem.

It's usually the cam variator on those

Yellow light is oil level low, red light is an oil pressure problem and the engine should be stopped immediately.

None taken Many of the posts in this thread would have you believe that it's just our map, but in fact some standard cars do it to a small extent, and sometimes this is accentuated with a map. It isn't just our maps either, but of course there are lots of people running our map on the forum hence why the problematic ones have stood out so much. In reality the number of people this issue affected was rather small but a large thread has developed around it. We remapped a Briskodian's Mk1 Octavia VRS today and he went away very happy with zero sign of the surge issue.

The FSI engine is meant to be run on Super Unleaded and early Octavia II VRS Petrols (like my old one) did specify 98RON in the filler door. Later ones say 95 RON. Power ouputs state 197hp on 98 RON and power output will be less on 95RON. By freewheeling do you mean going into neutral, or letting off the accelerator? Keeping the car in gear will be more economical as the injectors will close when the throttle is closed.

We offer the original VW/Skoda Bluetooth setup with BT Audio which integrates with the Bolero/Columbus. Unfortunately there's no way to activate it without the module.

It will be tomorrow before any of them will be sent, done in order that they were requested and in line with normal STS requests, please can we keep this about Rob's car rather than an updated map

We have done scores of CR170s and plenty with DSG gearboxes.. Was there ever an "unreliable" map or have I misinterpreted your question?

Absolutely, I don't know if you've seen the graphs of janner_Sy's car but he's very happy with it. We are Milltek distributors anyway, so can deal with that for you.. and I see from your signature that you're looking for some ITG stuff as well, who we also work with! Infact, KW, ITG, Milltek and Whiteline are all our preferred brands, your car could almost be our demo car by the sounds of it!

I would also like to add that if any of the current STS owners would like the map that rob_e and 999pooch are running, then it is available FOC and can be obtained by emailing [email protected] with your registration number and full name.

Gary Rob's problem was much more pronounced than yours, but I believe there is a replacement programme for coil packs at the moment and your car should fall under it. I have advised Rob to look in to the same thing. Give your dealer a call and see if there's a free set of new coil packs waiting for you
