  1. Hi

20k service consists of oil and oil filter and the pollon filter.

    These are replaced every 20k.

40k is oil , air , fuel and pollon.Spark plugs for the petrols.

But every 10,30,50,70 etc are oil filter replacements.

You can have a garage service your car that is not a dealer.

This can be a bit cheaper than dealers.

We do servicing and as part of the service check we put on the diagnostics to check them out.

    Use genuie parts.

As for the oil we use fully synthetic oil.Just dont go for the full out one at

  2. We had Josh`s car in for a service on saturday and could not wait to see this in the flesh.

It is a good finnish looks very smart and well fitted.

It had a few marks on it already due to the lowering that Josh has done to it.

Whoever is in on the GB have got themselves a tidy little mod.

  3. No I havent heard any good of hafords mix up paint.

Could you not get a Skoda dealer to post them out.

I used to do that for many people at the dealer.

You could try Butts Of Bawtry they post out and have them in stock.

Save you going to anyone then just wait for the post man to drop it at your door?

But yes another dealer should recognise it.

If not then it means it could be different.

    Try Butts

    I would. 01302 718224

  4. Hi

Yes the 30k service the oil and filter is the only thing to be replaced.

40K you change the oil , air , fuel and pollon filters.

Agree you should have told them to replace the front tyres.

Then it could be worth getting the tracking checked at the same time.

    Good choice of car though.

The Green Cotton Filter is also a very good 1st mod.

  5. Yup they will.

    They are not that reliable.

I had 2 in my Felicia in the space of 2 months.

Then had to go for the petrol one to go in my diesel to stop the problem.

But take your recipt if you have it to your dealer.

Cant remember if it is 1 or 2 years on them.

    Try it.

  6. Mmm I have spent quite a bit of time looking in to this.

The engine code is the same and the chassis legs are the same.

But then we could be wrong.

Had a chat with our head technician and he also said "well it should fit"

But it would be good to have a try at some time?

  7. I have had not much luck at all with them.

The only way to get through was e mail and if I got a reply it was very bleak.

I dont know if it is me , but I am always weary about dealing with e mail only.

I like to talk and ask questions so a phone line always helps.

Or am I being old fashioned in my approach?

  8. Get your retailers parts chap (or chapess eh Sarah?) to call retailer support. Chances are he is ordering the part through an obsolete part number and there is a newer version available. Skoda are not good at superceding literature part numbers
