Hi and welcome.
Sure the mrs would find out with the huge silly grin that you would walk around with.
The Remap is the way to go on the Octavia.
This would take you from 180bhp to 210bhp and the torque you would gain would make a large difference.
We can supply Custom-Code.
If you check out the web site you will see that there is a rolling road printout on there.
Our remap is priced at

Hi
I have checked with GSF and they do not do Pagid for the Fabia vRS.
The only ones that they can supply is Mintex.
I was not aware that Green Stuff was out yet for the vRS.
But are the standard pads not up to anything?
If required I could do a bit of hunting if you are looking for something other?
Thanks
Sarah

Hello yes.
There are a few around and they are Remaps opposed to chips.
This is Software opposed to Hardware.
There are also a few ways that they can be switched back to standard.
We can offer you Custom-Code www.custom-code.co.uk
This is done by downloading the software via the diagnostic port.
Then the VagCom cable and a laptop can be used to turn this back to standard in case you require any Warranty repairs.
Hope this helps

Hello and welcome to the forum.
You will be able to get loads of advice.
I worked for a Skoda dealer for 5 years and warranty was one of my jobs.
The Skoda warranty is good.
The thing you have to be aware of is that if you mod anything you could be invalidating the warranty.
If you go for a remap you could again be invalidating the warranty on other items.
Go for one that can be changed back to stock.
But be aware that if the dealers suspect that you have a remap they can find it.
If you get any warning lights on the dash the technician will plug in the computer and do a full diagnostic check.
This will not come up and say that you have a remap.
With the new vRS coming out at the end of the year you may find that you could get a bargain if you shop around.
Dealers cannot alter the remap on your car.
The only way they could loose it for you is if they replace the ECU.
Hope all this and the other posts help.
If not just say and we will get back in touch.
vRS NICE CAR............

Hi and welcome.
What would be the problem with it?
Sarah
-
Hi it sounds like the common part for going.
No these cannot be repaired.
You will also find that you cannot put paste at the front of the cat incase it gets sucked in to the cat then you will block it off.
No sorry you will find that it is a replacement cat and downpipe you need.
Sorry

Hi Ian
I have made myself a member.
I think that the majority of people would not stop going on to this site because you have set up one.
It just gives the likes of me more work to do.

Hi
Yes you want some PD oil.
Look out for a good named one.
Is it for topping up or is it to replace?
If for topping up best to to the dealer.

can't argue with that
i company that won't do work and put its name to things unless its 100%' date=' seems sensible[/quote']
Why thank you.
It does seem a bit harsh on customers , but we do like all to go well when we do mods.
Even a small priced mod can come back and haunt you if not done correctly or parts used are not 100%.
We are getting a good name and I would like to keep it that way.
But I will post on this forum prices for the conversion to 6 speed when all is good.
Thank you

Hi Dave.
There is an issue at the moment with a part that we require to do this conversion.
I am at the moment trying to sort this out.
I am not prepared to book anything in if I am not happy with the product required to fit the 6 speed box in.
When I am happy that this has been fully ok`d that the product is back up to our standard then I will be in touch with you.
I am sure that this can be confirmed by a member of this forum.
I do not like to disscuss issues like this on a public forum.
But you can be assured that when I am 100% happy that this issue is back up to JBS`s standards then I WILL be in touch with you.You have my 100% guarantee with that.
We like all customers to be happy with any modifications that is done on their cars here,so to that in mind I will not want to start letting people down.
If you want to know more please feel free to PM me as I will not go in to this any further onn here.
Thank you all.
Yes we will book in for more 6 speed boxes when all is ok.

A colour would help.
But it will be on the sticker on the inside front page of your service book.
Or on the sticker in the boot.
I used to know most of them , but been left nearly a year now.
But remember that Diamon Silver is 9102.

This engine swap lark is fun!
We do have more fun trying to overcome the LITTLE knockbacks.
But you are persistant and that pays off.
Good luck and DONT FORGET TO BED THE CLUTCH IN.

The part number for the brake light switch if I remember correctly has been superceeded.
So the one that you had fitted could in fact be an old part number.
These are an issue with VAG but it always helps to voice your opinion to customer services.

Bank accout.. you could always apply for a new Credit Card?
But there is no expensive box with this remap.
Just a lap top and a vag com cable.
Was that gentle enough?
Thats it I am going to have to slow down aint I?
