  1. Hi Dave

You will find that them there funs are nore common than you think.

We actually did the engine on that and it IS a lovely example of what can be done to these cars.

Its a shame we never talked Lummox in to the conversion. ;(

But anyway as for the problem , it is usually answered a little quicker when people are at work believe it or not.

We do get to go on now and then and have a play in work time.

So it could possibly have helped if you had put it in ask a tech?

Dont know mate , by=ut anyway glad you got this sorted.

Did you also know that they are covered in to a 5th year of warranty?

    Sarah

  2. I guess Sarah cloud answer this. If I get the Diff for a 01 VRS and then change cars to a 04 model can the Diff be easily changed to the new car. Me tight fisted and want to get as much use out of it as possible.

    Hi

Yes the 02J gearbox is the same.

You will find though that the time you require and the fitting kits it would be cheaper nearly to leave it though.

    Sorry :(

    Sarah

  3. I had my 20k service at JBS recently, no probs, and cheaper than the dealer, the best thing is, they don't have the stupid dealer attitude you tend to come accross, I would recommend them, and will be going back, assuming I have no warrenty issues. (I just been there and am already on 23k, so I'll be there in a few weeks again!) Sharky

    Hi

So we will you again soon for the return journey?

Wow you do clock your miles up?

I did think that I saw you on saturday evening time.

About 5.30 to 6ish round our area?

    Was it you?

    Sarah

    Hi Mate

We look forward to your return trip to us.

Blimey you are getting the miles in.

I thought actually that I saw you up our neck of the woods on saturday at around 5.3to 6ish?

  5. That was me' date=' or it's very common ;)

Took it to the dealer, who had a bit of a [i']"you know getting it serviced by someone else is bad, blah blah"[/i] talk, but then changed the switch with no problems. Had Josh's sumpguard on too, which they didn't mention.

I didn't want to go to the dealer for teh service, as a) they are extremely expensive and B) everytime I've been there for bits and pieces or advice they always act like I'm such an inconvenience. I gave you 12k and, believe it or not, I love my car. So why do you feel it's ok to treat me like you don't want me in your building?

    You would be supprised.

We had another in just like yours a few days later.

But again we just advised and off they went.

I do know I have seen some right services done.

As I worked in Mansfield there are quite a few taxi companies with quite a few in their fleet.

Blimey I have seen a Ford brake light switch wired in

Then wanted us to do a warranty claim to get it right

But hey I did it but against my better judgement.

So the dealers can be awkward if they want.

But the savings that can be made is quite alot.

    So yes shop about.

Talk to people to see if they know what they are talking about.

Even now on the service side when a car is still under warranty they do not have to use OEM parts.

So this should ease the service side of things for the likes of us who can help the likes of you save your money.

  6. Hi

Yes we have the Eibachs in stock.

We do a few of these as they do inprove the car alot.

Handling better and also the looks are inproved.

We do fit these even if they are not purchased from us.

When these are fitted we also do the mod for the bump stop.

Wheel alignment is also carried out.

I dont know how far you are from us but we could also "Pimp your ride" with Custom-Code too.

Fantastic remap for your car www.custom-code.co.uk and www.jbsautodesigns.co.uk should help you more.

Or call me on 01246 455005 and I can help you further.

There are also other Custom-Code dealers about if we are not close enough to you

  7. I had my last service at JBS - very impressed with their price and service.

Just watch that Sarah - she'll sell you stuff!

Won't be going back though as 12000 miles is a little too far to travel.

Hey Rob you resisted though ;)

Yes I am sorry I do try to sell bits too ;)

It is the Skoda drivers that tend to see the Milotek book.

    Rob will admit to this.

    Anyway yes we do servicing.

A 10k service with us retails at

  8. Hey

Dont even go to the dealers.

The price of the service will be low as this is an intrim service.

Oil and OIl Filter replace with lights levels and checks.

The dealers do not have to service your car now to keep up with the warranty.

As long as you take it to a garage that is VAT registered then you do not even invalidate the warranty of a NEW car.

We have experienced quite a few problems with cars that the dealers have had their hands on.

We have had one today from a dealer.

They had adjusted the rear brakes a bit too much and the brakes was locking up on the rear.

So even at a labour rate of £80.00 ish per hour does not mean your getting any better service at times .

You should be looking £94.09 all in for a service with us.

This includes VAT and OEM parts for the service and good oil.

  9. Hi

Right guys we have had news in that we are going to be looking at mid march with the rolling road now.

But I have had confirmation from James that we can have a full blown open day with many prizes that can be won!!!

We will be doing show and shine also pizes for the nearest guess of bhp!

There will be a BBQ and it is my birthday mid March so I may even bring some cake! ;)

So at the moment we would be looking then.

Oh yes the 10% discount will be on also.

    Sarah

  10. Anyone ever done this conversion?

I spend alot of time in local breakers yards and have the oppertunity to aquire a rolling shell which was a flood damaged 1.2.

    I've seen jabbasports 1.8T lupo.

So i'm guessing the fabia is pretty similar.

i am several hundred miles away from jabba tho and wouldnt have budget for them to do a conversion anyways.

any other petrol engine conversion been done on a fabia?

    Cough cough http://www.jbsautodesigns.co.uk/lupo.htm

    This was our conversion!

Any way we do offer the 1.8T conversion on most vehicles including this one

http://www.jbsautodesigns.co.uk/feliciafun.htm this was a lovely conversion too.

I would like to put the 130PD engine in to my little Skoda Felicia but Roxy would need alot of work.

But I am sure as with the other conversions that we have done , this would be great too.

The Lupo owner said it drove better than the Mk4.

That car looks great. The only mods on the outside of the car was a little rear spoiler.

    Mmmmmmm

    Sarah

  11. It has been known for the fingers on the pressure plate to be damaged.

This would then not be down to wear and tear but as a mechanical defect.

The second being covered under warranty.

If ever anyone has any problems they should go back to the dealer principal and get it noted.

If you still fail to get any joy then get in touch with Customer Care.

They are all the time monitering the way dealers are handling their customers.

Skoda have laways been very big with J D Power and still like to be up at the top.

    So give it a go.

    Sarah

  12. Hi

I would say do a search and check out the possiblities you have.

There are some on here that have tried tuning boxes and the £30.00 they paid have been a waste of money.

Works out to be a resister that costs pence put in to a black box.

    Beware of cheap tuning mods.!!

    We offer Custom-Code http://www.custom-code.co.uk/content/view/1429/238/

This will show you what can be achieved.

This will give you 140bhp that is more than the vRS

Please do not go thinking though that the £30.00 box will give the same results as it wont.

I do also agree with the lowering.

Get some nice Eibachs on but be aware that this will damage the shocker quicker if the mileage is high or the age is high.

But if I can assist you further please feel free to get in touch with us on 01246 455005

    Thank you

    Sarah

  13. Hi

    There is me.

Believe it or not but I am female.

I drive a little Felicia diesel.

    It not modded.

But I have has some super modded cars , Capri 2.0S , Toyota Celica Supra mmmm and a Nissan 200SX but I kept blowing the turbo`s on that so I got rid.

Had ding dong wi my hubby about which one to go for next.

I wanted the 300 twin turbo , but he wanted the Renault Laguna.

Well what a bag of pants that was.

So I got rid of him and bought a Skoda!

    Best move ever!

    Sarah

  14. Hi

It does not all the time.

One way is to see that the guage is reading incorrectly.

It does not even bring up a fault code all the time.

    They are very common.

You will find that all major garages have them in stock.

We have 2 perminently in stock.

It is not alot of money , easy to do and will not always be detected with VAG COM

I have had 3 in my little Felicia and that was detected by it being a little tricky to start when slightly warm.

So that could be another way to detect the problem.

    Sarah
