  1. Hi John.

You have come to the right place if you want to talk about Skoda`s.

They are very good the diesels.

Hard to remember to put diesel in the car when you pull in to fuel up , as they dont sound like the old style diesels did.

    Happy motoring!

  2. The power steering sensor or Yaw angle sensor is covered in to a 3rd or 4th year depending on when the car was purchased.

Dont think there is a milage limitation on it.

The sensor is a common problem.

    The part has been superceeded.

If the dealer says no , get in touch with customer services.

  3. You tend to find that the common problems Skoda know about , and they could be covered under the customer services warranty.

Alot of common faults are covered for a fourth year.

Even if they are not , if you give the customer services a call they will help.

Or if you have a good dealer they will get in touch with the Customer services rep. and get this for you.

Alot of the warranty claims that I did was for customer services claims.

On Fabias you have the con links that are common.

They got covered and anti roll bars.

  4. I worked on the warranty side of Skoda for 4 years.

If anyone came in with a problem with the headlamps misting up I wold not have given them the brush off.

If after a short period of time , they did not clear , then you would have to look in to it more closely.

May be wrong , but isn`t there a seal?

No do not put up with misty headlamps.

If you have complaints about any dealers get in touch with Skoda customer services.

I worked closely with them on a number of occasions , and they are very helpfull.

If complaints come in about a dealer , they are looked in to , but they do say to get in touch with the Dealer Priciple first.

  5. Hi all yes it`s Sarah.

It is about time I joined I know.

Taken me a while I know , but you see I get that carried away with my work that I just don`t have the time.

Been trying to sort out some really nice things for the Skoda people around.

No doubt that you will all be hearing about it all soon.

Be seeing a really nice 4x4 soon , eh Eddie?

Hope you have noticed that it is a sunday and I am on..

    Thats dedication for you!!

  6. Hi all.

    Yup see what you mean!!

Can talk all ya want about Skoda`s , can keep up with the men on the talk about the cars.

It`s the beer I cant keep up with.

Not normal female , I have a bike also.

But pretty common that where I live.

  7. If you have a recurring problem when the car is under warranty , as long as the dealer has made a claim then it is logged.

Let the customer services know and it will be looked in to.

Dependant on which car , there is 2 temp sensors on the car.

The main one has had superceeded parts.

So could be woth making sure that the corrct one has been used.

  8. Hi I worked at Skoda dealers and you will find (as with all car sales) , the insurance that the dealers have will only cover over 25`s.

If you can insure it on your own insurance you will have more of a chance.

  9. Yes love the cars!

Its bad when you come home from a late night out on the town , jump in to an Octavia taxi and talk Skoda`s eith the taxi driver!

Yes I am sad , I do that.

Chatted to one taxi guy who had prblem with the indicators.

Told him problem and part number , even quoted fault codes!

My friends say I am sad.

    Yes I am.

    But thanx for your welcomes!!

  10. Hello all.

I have been reading the forum for ages now , but finally joined.

The reason why is I love Skoda`s.

I worked at 2 Skoda dealers for 5 years from the launch of the Fabia back in March 2000.

I now work in Chesterfield and fortunately I still work with Skoda`s.

Although now not at a dealer.

The job is great and I get to see some wonderfull cars.

No doubt somewhere along the lines I have met some of you.

I will be finding my feet on the forum and get to know how to use it.

I am not that good with computers , but hope to pick it up along the way.

    But anyway Hi all!!
