  1. Hi

It is not that much of a common problem with these.

It has been known with us.

In fact we did a TT not that long ago.

It does not have to be just the dealers that do the work as you can get specialists like us that can do the work.

But then if you have had the car since new it could be worth a call to customer care on 0457 7745745 they may agree a bit of help

  2. Wow

    Where are our Custom-Code people?

Custom-Code can be used with the 150bhp and then if you want to run on either petrols you can do any adjustments through Custom Settings.

This is a FREE service that you can do on a laptop.

The remap has been proven to be very good on the 150bhp`s and we have done a few of the Phase 2`s on these engines too.

You would not be dissapointed with this remap.

Do a search on Custom-Code BEFORE you go settling for the 1st mentioned remap.

    www.custom-code.co.uk is the web site.

But use the search button above and search for JBS Auto Designs or Custom Code

I am on here the majority of the time too if you want any questions asked.

  3. Hi

    The Derv Doctor do Custom-Code

If you want do a search for Custom-Code this has been covered quite a bit.

We are a dealer for them too.

It is an excellent remap on the Fabia`s

Josh`s rolling road printout been up a few times too.

They are a good bunch there.

    Give them a call

    Sarah

  4. Hi and welcome

I am afraid it is common for 1 radio to have this problem.

I have done a few of them under warranty too.

The reason they replace it is the manufacturer will not open it up to replace what is required.

As for the 3 point belt.

I too was asked this question a while ago.

The reply was yes you would have to replace the whole of the rear seat.

So I am afraid they are right.

As for the after market one....well with something as special as your kids do you risk it with after market?

I dont know I am afraid that could be down to you.

But this is a great forum for solving.

    So could be worth asking.

    Have fun

    Happy motoring

  5. Another doubter for sachs clutch' date=' supposed to be rated to 318 lb/ft yet was slipping on a petrol producing a peak of 310 lb/ft, Flywheel was in perfect condition before fitting and all bedding in procedures were adhered to ~ and more.

This was on a Seat, but also on vwvortex there are a few haters

    [url']http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2332756[/url]

Most of the pertol ones have now been taken off the market.

It was something to do with the pressure plate.

If I was you I would get in touch with Sachs and see if they will do anything for you.

They do know that there is an issue.

  6. Be carefull what clutch spec you go for' date=' a friend has "lost faith" in his Sachs clutch (organic) at 290lb/ft and only 1500 miles. May be a duff one but Sachs are not prepared to enter into warranty negotiations.

Others have had good results with different plates.[/quote']

    I fully agree.

But the petrol ones do not seem to be as good as the diesel ones.

I would reccoment this clutch to my mother it is that good.

The Kevlar one as quoted does seem to be better on the diesels too.

We have also been doing some testing on a 540lb/ft clutch for the petrols too.

  7. Hey

    The list could go on.

We have a book with lots of pretty pictures of body mods ;)

But yes Quaife diff is good.

Then possibly T.I.P , DV , FMIC or CAI the list is endless.

Just let us know if you need to upset the bank manager as I know I can do this for you.

Anyway being female I know I can help you spend your money.

    Sarah

  8. Myself personally I do prefer the Forge ones.

    Sorry :(

    But they look so good.

They do the job well and to tell you the truth Forge are just a great bunch so I am biast.

But then if I had a car like yours the T.I.P would wait until after the remap if it is generic.

But hey we are all different.

Plus the T.I.P I would have fitted would HAVE to be Blue ;)

    Mad I know.

    Sarah

  9. Hi

It does seem that wherever you go there will be someonw who has to travel.

We get a good crowd on our rolling roads days and we have a laugh!

So Birmingham is really only just down the road.

I travelled there for 2 weeks solid to do training a while ago.

WE do know that people do tend to do quite a bit of travelling so we try to make it a good day for you.

    Sarah

  10. The retail on this is £525.00 + VAT

Then there is fitting which is not an easy job.

But with the discount that we offer you are getting the price reduced.

    So what difference is it?

You know that a day and a half if you are lucky is 12 hours.

    Labour rate...Ours is £40.00 + VAT

    Fitting kit £88.38

    Seal £6.60

    Seals 4 x £0.68 each

    More sels 4 x £1.06 each

    Bolts 2x £1.66 each

    Bearings 2 X £18.96 each

Shim ( nightmare for these) £4.50 ish

    Oil about £8.00

    All prices + VAT

This comes to about £1160.00 + VAT

Then on top of that you get the lifetime guarantee.

But you could save yourself a bit of money to go direct ;)

    Sarah

  11. Hi

Yes we offer a lifetime warranty with these Quaife Diffs.

This is done as we have fitted loads of these with the special " All In Price"

This is open to forum members at £1200.00 all in.

It is a very good Mod and we have had nothing but good reports on these.

The fitting of them takes about a day and a half so not a small job.

We could also look at doing you a remap with Custom-Code

    www.custom-code.co.uk is the web site.

We have done remaps for GaryM and EddyH who have replied on here for you.

I am sure they will back me up with how good this remap is.

Oh and they dont get paid for it they are just very pleased with what they have recieved.

    Sarah

  12. Hi

There are many remaps out there.

We have seen many come and go.

    But we deal with Custom-Code.

Do a search and look in to what is available and what is near to yourself.

Be aware that some people will say that they have stupid BHP but then that would depend on what rolling road it was put on to start with.

Some will put an extra 20bhp on so the figures could be out.

If I can help you further please feel free to give me a call on 01246 455005 or check out the web site on www.custom-code.co.uk

    Sarah

  13. No not free , but they are very cheap.

You know that I have to go shopping the day before to get you all the stuff nice and freash.

Last year I even got some bits in for the Vegetarian that was coming in.

Plus they was all nice and freash.

I do like these meets as it gives me chance to get you all in have a chat and sell you something ;)

    With the discount too.

    Sarah

  14. Hi

We have fitted the springs alone , spings and dampers and Josh`s coilovers.

The coilovers was really low.Does look good though.

Then the springs and shockers they are the same amount of lowering , but it would be better with the handling side.

The rebound will also be better.

If anyone wants any help off us please just let me know.

    Thank you

    Sarah

  15. Hi

Yes our prices are £25.00 all in.

There will also be the pretty printouts with this.

We have done many rolling road days.

Myself I am looking forward to getting on with the rolling road days as I do enjoy them.

We will also class this as an open day so there will also be a 10% discount on ALL products with the BBQ thrown in too.

    Sarah

  16. Hi Sean

I would say that what you have in your car would possible be a remap rather than a chip

The air filter to go for also would be the Green Cotton Filter

We have sold LOADS of these.

These are found to be more popular as the K& N are as these are thought to be too greasy for the Air Mass Meter.

There is alot of information on what can be done to these engines to help you with performance.

I would have thought that the remap would be the Revo one.

    www.jbsautodesigns.co.uk is our web site.

Have a look on there as we have a monster of Octavia`s with 440bhp without the Nitrous switched on.

So we know about your car and how good they are.

Hvae fun in your search I am sure you will love it.

    Sarah
