  3. hi TP my scout is also still at emden, dealer phoned somebody last week, and was told that theres a boat scheduled for tomorrow, lets hope both of them are going to be on it,fingers crossed, regards, shyfly
  4. told by dealer that my fl scout is at emden, and that he hopes that it will be on the boat that leaves on the 28 aug, what i would like to know is how long is the timescale from landing in uk to when the dealer hands it over,it was ordered end of may and was built wk 32,just before the flood problem, thanks
  5. an easy way to check for a tint is to open a window half way, then hold a piece of white a4 paper against the window half behind the glass and half above the glass, then you should see the different shade on the paper,
  6. told by dealer that my scout 105 tdi will be built next week and hes hopimg for a delivery about the second week in sept, its candy white with a lot of extras climate ,maxidot spare etc, hope fully it will be a lot less trouble than the yeti that i owned before it, it went in early june so that i could get a better price for it and just rely on my mk3 escort for daily runabout, with a promise of a car off the dealer whenever i wanted to, my fiancee has also got a fl elegance 105 tdi to replace her blue line, which she has found the improvments to the facelift model makes it such better car, anyway just carry on waiting, at least the car will not be as troublesome as my early yeti, which was dissapointing because the yeti is a brilliant concept

    new flywheel

i dont know at the moment wheather theflywheel isanupgraded one, becauseivenot spoken to thedealers yet, as they delivered theyeti back to my housewhilst i was at work, iwll see them tomorrow, i dont know if other yetis are affected, but i have read on here that other owners have experienced this noise from theengine bay before the cars warm up

    new flywheel

there was a cloncking noise coming from the enginebay, as if there was a loose engine cover, thiswould start about 3 or 4 mins after startup then would go after the engine warms up,but the yeti was prone to stalling when going through traffic or slowing down at junctions, you would feel a judder asyou slowdown in traffic

    new flywheel

just got the yeti back today after getting a new flywheewhenl,it seems to have stopped the cloncking noise when cold, the clutch feels lighter now, i was told that the new flywheel will also cure the stalling and judder when changing down gears, neither of which ive experienced yet since i got it back, thanks once again to the staff at davidian skoda
  10. ihave an se without rain sensors, and it does this,as did my le vrs i had before this, the only thing ive done is disable the auto rear wiper, as i found it annoying
  11. MY YETI GOT SET UP WHEN IT WAS BEING PREPARED FOR ME BY THE TECHNICIAN,SO THAT ONE BLIP UNLOCKS ALL THE DOORS,WHICH IS A LOT MORE CONVENIANT, ALSO THERE WAS ANOPTION FOR THE DOORS TO AUTO LOCK AT @10MPH
  12. THANKS TO THE MEMBERS THAT HAVEPOSTED VARIOUS PROBLEMS WITH THEIR YETIs, IT HELPS THE TECHNICIAN TOSHOW SKODA THAT THERE ARE AFEW ISSUES WITH THE YETI, AS THEY SAY THAT THEY ARE NOT AWARE OF PROBLEMS BLAH BLAH, MY YETI WILL BE GOING IN NEXT WED. MY ISSUSES ARE FUMES COMING INTO THE CABIN AREA CLONCKING FROM ENGINE BAY WHEN COLD ALARM GOING OFF, WHICH THE TECHNICIAN HAS TRACED TO SOME SENSOR TO DO WITH THE DOOR LOCK,WHICH WILL BE RECTIFIED WITH A NEW DOOR LOCK LEAKING FUEL CAP ENGINE STALLING AT LOW REVS LACK OF POWER WHEN COLD CREAKING DASH. ALTHOUGH MINE HAS AFEW ISSUES AT THE MOMENT, I WOULD NOT BE WITHOUT MY YETI,AND I KNOW THEY WILL BE RECTIFIED, THANKS TO THE KNOWLAGEABLE AND ENTHUSTIASTIC TECHNICIAN AT DAVIDIAN SKODA,MORECAMBE,WHO I WOULD RECOMEND FOR THEIR SALES AND SERVICE,THAT YOU GET FROM A FAMILY OWNED DEALERSHIP. MY CRACKED WINDSCREEN GOT CHANGED AFTER A 3 WEEK WAIT,WITH A GENUINE SKODA GLASS, WHICH THE AUTOGLASS GUY SAID THEY NOW HAVE A SPARE NOW AT THEIR PRESTON BRANCH, JUST INCASE........!
  13. 3 months and nearly 7000 miles, of reasonably troublefree yeti ownership, apart from the dash creaks that were sorted by davidianskoda, whilst travelling back to morecambe from northwales on sunday, amk2 octavia pulled out in front of me onto the a55, and threw a stone and ht the window, resulting in a crack at the bottom of thescreen, which has subsequently grown, the problem is that autoglass cannot obtain a replacement at the moment, they said that it may need to be imported, i am a bit dissapointed in skoda uk, if after 3months damage prone spares are not readily available, it makes me .wonder what situation would be if body panels etc would beneeded, anyway it has notdeterred me from the best car that iv owned sofar andasthe milage piles on the overall combined economy is around 47 -49 mpg, if only i could master how to drive it without stalling it.hopefully mr skodawill send me apiece of glass soon

    yeti recall?

when i took my yeti to the dealer to book it in to find out why its leaking diesel past the filler cap,t he recepionist said that a recall had been issued for my car,and another of similar build date, she said that it was something to dowith lights and would only take about ten mins,so its going in on thursday. it seems that the fuel cap is not sealing as good as it could do, so they are going to look at that too.Anybody know more about this recall or are experiencing diesel loss via the filler cap?
