  1. Sorry for not being clear. I started the car and let it idle/run for 10min while parked. Then turned it off, pulled the dipstick. Wiped it clean and dipped it in fully again, that's when I'm checked the level twice and it showed the level as per above.
  2. When warm/after drive, it was initially showing around the yellow line/toward the middle. I let it go in idle for 10min and checked now and oil is on the top ball (red line) so clearly at the top but difficult to see if it goes above 😞 Can't believe I did such a silly move yesterday 😞
  3. I will have to try. Was scared of getting the pipe stuck in there and make things even worst 😢
  4. It is there when cold on flat surface. I filled it yesterday and checked again now and it's where it is.
  5. Hello, I think I messed up yesterday. The faulty oil sensor restarted appearing so I checked oil few times as I'm due to drive to the French alps on 27th... The oil was showing in the middle range (a bit lower) so decided to top up. Now it seems to be up to the top of the higher ball (may be slightly higher) can't say for sure. I was convinced that the bottle was 500ml but now realized it is a 1L! What should I do? I tried letting the car idle, it works fine and does not do any smoke, etc. Is it safe to drive like that? Is there an easy to remove some? I have a oil pump that I use to empty the lawnmower, could I use that? Should I go through the dipstick or through the main filling oil hole? What a stupid move I did 😞 Any help, advise, etc. would be very welcome. I have a 2L diesel and had driven 10k miles since last service. Thanks
  6. Evening, Just had a little shunt in France. She bumped me fairly gently so limited damages as far as I can see. The bumper seems in good visible nick but unsure if there could be further damages. The below panel popped out and won't clip back in as a couple of lugs are broken and it feels slightly twisted. To replace the under panel, does the bumper needs taking out? Or is it simply a matter of unclipping the old one and pushing back in the new one? Wondering whether to get the insurance involved as she is young and will get hammered especially If it's only a quick panel swap... If the bumper needs replacing then that's a different kettle of fish but impossible to find out rapidly. What do you reckon? Cheers
  7. Evening I haven't been driving the car in the dark for a while and I just realised tonight that the indoor lighting is not turning on when unlocking/entering the car. Did I dream this feature before? Has it been disabled by one of the numerous SW upgrades?
  8. For this issue, yes. I also had random flickering of the gages, which apparently fixed by SW update. They found an error code about the sos system. They proactively replaced the sos module but now it has created a new issue as each drive, I get sos error and poping noise/cracking noise from it... Which is really annoying as it was working perfectly well before! I have another work due to be done on it but may start another thread for this one...
  9. @snealsorry had missed the tag. They replaced the ceiling light, previous one background was black but the new one has a white background. Seems to work well. I have a few more issues but won't hijack the thread with them...
  10. I have the same one too. Some time the nearside passenger will turn on randomly and sometime is starts blinking... Car is booked in for 3rd week of Feb.
  11. Make sure that you don't have a variable floor if you order this one...
  12. True, not much snow down here but they work a treat in the French Alps
  13. Is it for winter wheels? I ended up buying my winter wheels (rotare with winter tyres as Skoda PN) from Scotland last year, it was cheaper than buying alloys and tyres separately and easier than the European purchases.
  14. Interesting. I have seen that a couple of times and never thought more of it! I'll keep an eye on it.
  15. Hello, Has anybody tried retrofitting the rear tailgate LEDS, which are optional in the boot section? I just wonder it there is any cabling loom that needs adding or simply replacing the tailgate lights? Thanks
