Fault code after remap

Hi all,

Had my vrs remapped couple of weeks back now. Having a bit of investigation after funny read outs on the Dyno. ( personal think the guy mugged me off)

Anyways getting a fault code up since I've had the remap. Is this common after a remap or is something wrong.? Or a Red herring so to speak.

Pretty common with remaps from that provider. To the right of that picture you've taken it will show a 4 digit software version number, if you compare that number to the one printed on your ECU case under the bonnet, you'll find that they don't match.

Your ECU may be something like 038906019LA in large letter, and 5405 (guess) in small letters. Compare those numbers to the ones you see in VCDS and you'll see that they don't match. To fix the error code, the car needs to be flashed with the correct version of software.

That is truly shocking!

Don't be like that mate, we've all just

been trying to help.

Our opinions are just that, opinions.

Listen to the nice man from Shark as what he's saying is fact.

He plays with ecus all day long.

Whatever has been done to yours can be reversed, just go

somewhere reputable to get it sorted.

Custom Code lock the ECU, only CC can read it until it's put back to standard.
