Honeycomb grille

Recommended Posts

Not well, I nearly sold the Fabia last week but I bottled out at the last minute.

Not having much interest in the MX5 either. Crap weather doesn't help.

Going to concentrate on getting rid of the Mazda first and give me time to

strip the Fabia down properly before that goes.

I felt really bad for the chap that came to look at the car and I didn't intend

things to pan out the way they did. We nearly had a deal done and then I got

all emotional about the car again and had to pull out.

Maybe a black S3?

Seen quite a few in budget but can't move until I shift the other cars.

Vans costing me a fortune at the moment as well. :(

Here's a new recent pic of my upper grille.

Still not the best of pics but I like it a lot

Hi mate. Where did you got that grille? Cost a fortune?

Doing up my 2002, 1.4L 16V 100BHP Fabia and already have a carbon covered chrome surround.

That centre piece would of completed my upper part of front.

Cheers for reply

Hello mate it was a custom DIY job.

I cut the original vertical slats out and bonded the honeycomb in place. Takes some time to do.

I got the mesh from ebay which was about £35 delivered from Germany.

I did my lower grille too

LOL Forgot I posted this...

It was almost like I knew in advance what I'd get LOL

In answer to the question,

I modified a Milotec badgeless grille, it originally had a metal mesh but it had

a few stonechips on the mesh so I removed it and replaced with black plastic

honeycomb mesh instead.

Pretty sure it's this one which is 8th item down on the page.

It is still that one I o not like the most. I would like to keep the badge and chrome surround bit.as its already covered in carbon.

Thanx anyway.
