Oh and I have new wheel's planned for the next couple of month's just gonna insure the car (dreading it after my crash) and pay off my holiday and sort some out. I'm gonna go with a set of Rotiform NUE's, I originally wanted a set of Fifteen52 Tarmacs but I can't justify the 1k price tag for them as nice as they are.

All is the only way to go! Great results on your detailing as well. Car looks absolutely brilliant!

Thanks's for the kind work's really impressed with how it came out, looks great under flood lights at night haha

Car is looking so clean.

Keep it up budd

Cheer's fella, the love for the car is coming back slowly, kinda lost it after my crash after all the hard work into the last one, but decided to pull my finger out and crack on and get it sorted.

Excellent wheel choice. These suit the Fabia nicely

I like both of them but as I say can't justify the 1k for the Tarmac's and the NUE's are rather similar, really does need some silver wheels its too dark IMO being all black

It's a rather nice car my mates Mini, he got it cheap as he works for MINI when it was traded.in, got the JC works kit on it and an LSD fitted. Will look even better once I've given it a machine polish for him

  • 3 weeks later...

Lad at work organised a RR day today and was short for numbers so I stepped up to see what the old girl was putting out. It made 158bhp and 248lbs ft, a bit down on my previous car which was pushing 182bhp and 273lbs ft, but it seems to have more get up and go up through the rev range which I think could be due to the decat which gives a slight placebo affect of it being as quick I'm not sure

  • 2 months later...

Long overdue update really, been far too busy working on everyone's but my own car but managed to do a couple of little jobs on it over the weekend.

I've started getting my pipework together again to make up my FMIC, I'm reusing the cooler off my crashed car which I've had pressure tested and is fine, its just slightly twisted but won't be an issue once bolted one. I'm machining my own coupling's at work tomorrow morning so will update with pic's of those. I've gone for lime green pipework to match the black/green theme I have on the car already and will be continuing throughout it. Anyway will let the pics do the talking.

Fitted the uprated gearbox engine mount

Decided to drop the gearbox oil as I couldn't manage to do it when I did the service the other month due to being too low :P

The oil having covered 76k was manky

Also whilst it was up in the air I fitted my Whiteline RARB which I've had powdercoated Kawasaki Green.

I noticed aswell I'm getting ready for new disc's all round, will grab a decent set of disc's and machine them for 'J' hook's at work and get a decent set of pad's fitted along with the kawasaki green braided hoses I have sat in my room with some 5.1 ready for my track session at Silverstone.

I'm planning on having the intercooler fitted this week, and getting it booked in for a remap at Awesome GTi ready for next weekend at USC at Santa Pod

Cheers fella, Will have to keep an eye out for yourself, I'm hoping I will have the intercooler fitted for next weekend but it might be a bit hit and miss as I'm still awaiting a few remaining pieces

Its not mine its my mates. TT 6speed manual, tanaby exhaust, decatted, FCD, HKS FMIC, HkS boost controller so upped the boost from .7bar to 1.4bar, should be running around 400whp

As promised an update of the work I carried out this morning in machining my own boost hose couplings. I've decided to make the length of the area that the silicoln hoses sits on 5mm longer than the Forge items due to the area not being wide enough for a Mikalor clamp to sit on the inside edge of the end radius to stop the hose slipping off.

I first started off with an offcut billet of 6061 - T6 alloy

I then proceeded to use a Mazak centre lathe and wrote the program in Mazatrol

Part way through machining to check dimensions

The finished item sat alongside a Forge coupling

Notice the radius on the end sitting inside the Mikalor clamp on the Forge item

And the one's I have made
