Spoiler Paint Faded

The paint on the standard rear spoiler seems to have faded, is this also covered by the warranty?

It did on mine as well. The dealer didn't seem that sure about the warranty thing but said that it wasn't a good idea to get it resprayed as it tended to end up worse :confused: , something to do with being a different base material ??

Get it painted under warranty, I think the dealer is trying to avoid a paint-job.

You could get it repainted but why not have a go with some paint restorer....VW red was notorious for going pink...something about loosing oil. That said most paints are now water based so there shouldn't be this problem.

Would see your dealer about it though.

The paint is covered by a 3 year warranty.

If your car is under 3 years take it to the dealers to have a look at.

I must admit as has been said , the Red does soak up the sun and can cause it to fade.

But if you take it to a dealer the worse they could say is no.
