air induction kiy

Hi guys thinking of fitting a induction kit to my Vrs I just want to check the air box first. Ok any one know wot the small rubber tube is that is connect to the original airbox. Any help would be great thanx

It's a vaccum pipe IIRC, I've fitted an induction kit and just left mine open.

Noooooo

You need a filter on it!

Should be filtered clean air!

I got a k+n cone for £26

Had some blue flexible ducting and an old boost pipe take off!

is the pipe that comes off the inlet and into the maf sensor 80mm? Think I'm going to buy a stainless 45 degree bend off ASH and have a cone on the end of that

looks like that induction job might intake a bit of warm air from the engine bay no?

Make no difference really

Still pulled 198bhp and 332lb/ft on an air restricted rolling road (mapped pd150)

I think it was 76mm!

Best bet is to measure it!

You need to be careful on the pd130 as coolant hoses in that area can get in the way

Ok thanks for the advice but there is a electrical plug thatsits 4 inchs away from airbox can this be complecompletely removed wen fitting induction or is that best left a lone thanks again guys

Ps looking forward to the meeting at the end of this month
