4. Turn on button to manually spray rear camera. Now it only works with rear wipers.

Rear camera spray only works when rear wiper on AND reverse gear selected.

I don't think it can be changed.

I have this feature in my last car and it only beeps when you want to change line and you have other car in blind spot.

Interesting.

Would b nice to find out if it's possible to enable it on the mk3 Superb.

I'll hunt around, c if I can find any associated coding.

I wouldn't mind it if it only beeps when attempting to change lanes with a car in the blind spot.

Hi,

Do you know how to:
1. Activate warning sound in blind spot detection?
2. Traffic assist - change time when car start ride himself. Now it’s about 5 second and then I must put pedal to start.
3. Set working radio button on the steering wheels without turn on ignition
4. Turn on button to manually spray rear camera. Now it only works with rear wipers.

3 and 4 are not possibile, 3 due to limitations of can-bus, the wheel goes to sleep once power is off, 4 not possibile as the rear camera washer jet is connected to the same pump as the rear window, so you cant have fluid running to it unless the rear window is being washed.. That being said, you could rig your own washer pump, tap into the lines before rear window washer pump, and have a switch in the cabin to wash.. but OEM its not possibile..

You sure about that? i can wash it normally if in forward gear, and using the rear window wash function.. It cannot tell if you are in reverse or not, as its not smart, its pure mechanichs, you could wash it at 60miles per hour it would not care at all!

@bubib5 I'll double check, but it's the only conditions I've seen it working...🤔

Probably because you cant turn it on to see it being washed in forward, from about 15km/h, so you cant tell, but trust me, you can wash it at any speeds, as its not possibile to select when to wash and when to not wash, once you trigger the rear window wash pump it will spray at the camera and the window nozzle!

Well not all cameras have it, i believe its only the highline camera, the mid and lowline do not have it, and you also need to have a rear wiper obviously, not sure if hatch versions have it, even with a wiper installed!

Correct

Prior to MY19 (i think), u could get reverse camera without a washer, on a liftback/hatch.  that's because u could have a hatch with no rear wiper.  no rear wiper = no washer for camera.

if specc'ed with rear wiper, n highline, then u got camera washer.

mine is MY17, and i have the highline camera with no washer.  i don't have a rear wiper.

wagons on the other-hand cannot b had without a rear wiper, hence if highline, then u get camera washer too.

Thanks for the detailed explanation, i was not sure about hatchbacks, funny how they always think of something, like all 3 versions of the cameras are identical in form and shape, just different functions, but god forbid they put washers on all of them as standard, at least for the estate version.. On topic of cameras, did you know there are multiple versions of the said highline camera, i had to change my out because i wanted the trailer assist function..

Autohold Adaption MY16

Apologies if this has been posted before, I've searched the thread and haven't found anything. A bit of background first. Bought the 65 L&K estate last June, and have always had a problem with the Autohold and auto handbrake release causing a 'surge' when setting off, forward or reverse. This was due in part to the amount of revs needed to release. (6 speed DSG) It was acceptable (still not good) when everything up to temp, but a nightmare when cold, to the extent I drove 90% of the time with Autohold turned off.

When pulling forward or reversing out of the drive it would try and stall, unless excessive revs used, which would then mean accelerating then jumping on brakes immediately. Needless to say Autohold turned off getting in car and manually released electronic handbrake EVERY time. Spoke to Skoda dealer Oswestry who suggested possible Mechatronics unit!! Took it to an indy specialist who diagnosed faulty 'Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor', replaced but no change. 2nd Skoda dealer who serviced car 2 days ago (full dealer service history) asked to test drive when cold which they did and said everything ok.

Since I got the car this has really been getting under my skin. I may be the only 1 with this problem, but just in case there is somebody else pulling there hair out I thought I'd post the following. I take no credit for finding this, that honour goes to TIGSEL on the VW Vortex forum and works on DSG and manual gearboxes, VW and Skoda.

1- ABS Brakes

2 - Adaptions
3 - IDE04871- Dynamic Starting Assist
4 - Early

There are 3 levels of Autohold release, Early, Normal and Late. Normal is the default, it needs setting to Early.

I have to say I was sceptical it would make much difference, but WOW, it's like night and day! Car parked overnight, did the adaption, touched accelerator and glided forward, same in reverse. Test drove for 2 hours and absolutely perfect. Was worried there may be a bit of 'creep' when fully warm, but no, tried uphill and downhill all good, happy chap

Tis a shame that the Autohold was causing issues for u in the "Normal" setting.

More importantly - its good u figured out the adaptation change required to address it.

mine has been good/perfect with the Normal setting - haven't had the need to change it due to it misbehaving.

I'd like to take credit as I said, but alas no. I absolutely love the car, it was just this 1 thing that has been niggling me for so long. It seems to be more a VW issue than Skoda, have found no other instances on Skoda forums but a few different threads on VW forums, why, who knows. Maybe some have just learnt to live with it.

If I can save just 1 person going with Skodas recommendation of replacing the Mechatronic unit at £ 1,500 + then job done. Car is perfect now 😁

Can someone help me finding back the VCDS coding to change the ambient lights color upon DCC mode selection please? e.g red for Sport mode / green for Eco mode , etc.

I´ve used search function, but I can’t find the right post… 😞

Thanks for your help.

@Ivan8192 Thanks, I'll try that.

Can you just remind me which controller has to be tuned please? Is it in 17-Instruments or 09-Electric?

Then "Adaptation" menu I guess?

Thanks ;) .

Also, in each of the drive profile values that are actually relevant to the Superb, I think you change the zero to be the colour you want in that drive mode (from your 10 or 30 colour palette). Trying to remember as it is ages since I did this!

Would it be possible to code the rear camera to turn on manually, when the parking sensors button is pressed?

Thats how it should be, no coding needed there, mine turns on when i press the button, or select reverse!

Also turns on if the system turns on when approaching an obstacle!

Ok, thanks for the feedback, I guess I missed some coding, when I was retrofitting it.

My camera doesn't turn on when approaching an obstacle a black section appears on the screen with a diagram of the car showing where the obstacle is.
