hi thanks for letting me join the forum

i have a 1.3 felicia as a runabout which blows cold air from the heater

i suspect the thermostat anyone got any advice on changing it.

Haynes do a Repair Manual for the Skoda Felicia (1995-2001 Petrol and Diesel) which explains how to change the thermostat.

It's only a couple of bolts to remove the housing, get a new thermostat and gasket. Any problems go to the library and borrow a workshop manual.

There could be a couple to choose from with the Felicia depending on the year.

Later ones you would have to buy the housing as they are like sealed in.

If it is a real early one then you will be ok.

Haynes says that on early (pre February 1996) 1.3 litre models you need to remove the thermostat from its housing, noting which way round it fits. On later (February 1996 on) 1.3 models the thermostat assembly is clipped into the thermostat housing cover. Removal involves unclipping the retaining clip from the cover then removing the spring and thermostat plunger. Before doing this, note each of the components correct fitted location.
