18" L&K Pegasus Anthracite

Recommended Posts

Brilliant forum.

Have not chipped in to date because waiting for car.

But in the meantime am trying to source a full size matching alloy spare wheel for an 150 L&K (awaiting delivery). Brockysuperb confirmed that a full size fits in the well and I would prefer the flexibility that a matching wheel offers. Long trips in Europe mean a space saver is impractical and the supplied goo does not always work.

Can anyone clarify if there is any difference between two 18" Pegasus anthracite alloys wheels for the L&K.

My enquiries to SUK has teased out the following:

Part number 3v0601025lha7
This would be a factory fit alloy wheel; this would have a number stamped 3v0601025l
Price: 318.85 GBP each +VAT and fitting
Part number 3v0071498hha7
This would be an accessory alloy wheel; this would have a number stamped 3v0071498h
Price: 155.00 GBP each +VAT and fitting

Unhelpfully SUK stated that the 2 wheels “are not identical”.

I asked SUK to confirm that the wheels are each 8.0J x 18” ET44 and stud holes 5 x 112 for tyre 235/45 R18 and in what way they are not identical and they responded “ŠKODA UK has no other information regarding your enquiry”. (Not credible)

Before emailing the CE at SUK has anyone ordered either of these or know for sure they are the same?

I gleaned the spec for 3v0601025lha7 from Skoda-dily.cz

And for 3v0071498h ha7 from Skoda brochures for Denmark, France and Germany.

So they appear to be the same wheel but the pricing suggests otherwise.

BTW SUK do not have stocks of either so collecting from France is probably the answer as at 265€ incl VAT it roughly matches the SUK £155 plus VAT.

Welcome

Brockysuperb confirmed that a full size fits in the well

On my L&K hatch (supplied with a 205/55/16 spare wheel) the boot carpet actually sits on the tyres sidewall, so if you put a 235 tyre in the well it will make the carpet sit 30mm proud.

Thanks Gizmo, should have said I was aware it will push the carpet up but good to know it is only 3cm. Did the same in all my Saabs and still plenty of room for luggage. The Superb will probably be even better!

The Rial Lugano wheels that you have highlighted have the wrong PCD for a Superb they should be 5x112.

I'm looking for a set of wheels to match my silver 18" pegasus to fit my summer tyres on.

These Rial ones are considerably cheaper than either the Skoda ones or the lookalike Wolfrace.

Would these fit the S3?

A matching alloy would mean I can rotate usage rather than end up with an unused spare tyre which eventually becomes out of date. Having said that I could always get a tyre shop to switch tyres around so may consider a steel as a last resort but have not found a source for that either as everyone seems to specialise in alloys!

Anyone know where I can get a steel 8" x 18" ET44  and bolt holes 5 x 112?

Still very disappointed at SUK's unhelpful replies.

According to Gizmo68 thread "Winter Wheels/Brake Sizes" your vehicle has 235/45 R18 94W on 8”x18” ET44 Wheels, the PCD of the above wheel is correct so the only other thing that you need to know is the "centre bore" of the wheel which Gizmo states is 57.1mm so providing that matches or you can get "spigot rings" to match that you should be OK. The only other thing to check is whether having an ET of 43 against the factory ET of 44 will throw up any clearance issues.

Just an example photo, sorry.

http://www.mytyres.co.uk  also sell single alloys and steels with tyres. I've used them a couple of times, have been excellent.

Your Skoda dealer can source the steel spare wheel kit and tools for a Superb. Looks around £254.

The spare probably wont be an 18". It doesn't need to be, as long as the wheel and tyre overall diameter are similar to the 18" size on your car. Its quite common now for temp spares to be smaller size wheels, but the same overall diameter.

It would have been cheaper to order it with the car from the factory, as they are only £100.

Thanks but all the spares sold by Skoda Uk  and their dealers are space savers as is the spare available to order with the car which means they are limited in speed to about 50mph which is no good to me if on an 8 hour trip in Europe. Hence why I am looking for a full size spare.

Yes they would be a perfect fit (check the centre bore size though).

1mm ET difference is not going to make any difference at all... different brands of tyres will be more than 1mm out.
