Hi all, does anyone have the following (for a test of some software....)

Displacement, bhp and torque and what RPM's, Compresion Ratio, Max RPM, the ratios and final ratio of the gears, car weight, weight balance % front to rear, wheelbase, drag coefficient, height, width.

For the Furby and Octy vRS.

ive just read that review, and i totally disagree with it!!!

Why Sign It Off?

So . . . on the one hand the vRS rides like a cement mixer, and on the other it handles like a cross-channel ferry. This is the worst possible compromise, and it leads me to wonder who exactly drove the last of the prototypes and said, "yes, this is fine, don't touch a thing."

It wouldn't take long to fix it. Higher-profile tyres, stiffer springs, better damping, perhaps a further reduction in ride height - this is not rocket science, and with appropriate tweaking it could all transform the vRS into an absolutely superb hot hatch. A revised version brought on to the market as soon as possible would be more welcome than I can say.

On a slightly different note, several of my fellow scribblers on the launch expressed the view that the vRS has a very ordinary interior for a car which costs around

Terrible ill-informed Octavia vRS review as well.

The vRS is screaming out for four-wheel drive, and since that's going to be available on the forthcoming vRS estate, it may also turn up in the hatchback.

I thought the displacement was 1896cc, and not 1986cc (i.e 2 litre...) - I hope this doesn't affect the outcome, as I'm also worried I didn't see any reference to "diesel" in the engine type, only "TURBO" - which could be petrol... :D

Anyway - very good figures either way - I just hope that's exactly what they'll do in reality. :thumbup:

That's for the standard model(s) - I guess the vRS will be a bit lower.

I haven't been able to locate a definitive figure for the compression ratio - the fact sheet on Skoda Auto's site doesn't give it - but other sources suggest it's either 9.3 or 9.5 to 1

I've adjusted the displacement figure, Sorry typo, makes very little difference, (slight difference to the torque/power curve of the car), but the times are no difference.

Anyone know what final ratio is?

Found a bit of software on one of my old laptops that calculates this sorta stuff, used to use it for my MR2 to work out what sorta mods were worth doing, PM me if you want a copy and I'll mail it ya (600k or so so cant upload it)

May have the power figures wrong, I have 230Bhp and 250FtLb, correct me if I'm wrong, also the RPM that those figures are reached may be wrong... Anyone got a dyno chart of the Jabba setup lurking anywhere?

To do the 4x4 setup I need the figures for it, I assume most is similar to the standard 2wd, but let me know, cause drive ratio's will probably different?

Oh.. and to answer your question.. this is what i found:

After a lot of time and effort trying to get through to Skoda's Press department that http://www.skodasnewtoy.co.uk options list was incorrect for UK sourced cars, they have removed it from the internet entirely.
