Engine oil recommendation

Hi all looking at changing the oil soon and debating whether to use semi synthetic or Fully synthetic the car is a Mk1 Octavia 1.9 SDI with low very low miles 31000. Looking through previous posts fully synthetic 5w40 is the one people seem to favour for this engine. Thanks Colin.
