Software Update available for Bolero?

Hi guys and @andreiro221 @Rainesh

I am driving a Skoda Scala 2021 1.5 TSI.

I currently have MEN3_EU_SK370_P1043L, MU 1540.

Can I go directly to MEN3_EU_SK370_P3355L, MU 1800?

Or do I need to go through MEN3_EU_SK370_P1185L, MU 1760, first?

Yes, you need to update to 1798 first and then to 1800. We tried to upgrade from 1790 to 1800 directly on a car and it didn't work.

You seem to be very knowledgeable in this matter. Do you perhaps know what I'd have to go through to get my coworkers infotainment from version 1310 to 1800. She has an s23 phone and she's very upset that she can't connect it to Android auto

Sorry, all our cars here came with 1790 and above, so I don't have an idea on the earlier versions.

My Kamiq from 2021 was updated every time by a dealer, as the car was (and is) still under warranty. Initially, I had the 1310 version, afterwards I got 1760, and finally 1800. I hope it will work out also for you.

Hi guys, an update from me with the almost "unknown" 1540 software variant.

I updated the radio and went through MEN3_EU_SK370_P1185L, MU 1540 -> MEN3_EU_SK370_P3225L, MU 1798-> MEN3_EU_SK370_P3355L, MU 1800.

Everything worked just fine, even though I am not sure that I needed to do the 1798 update to get the 1800 up and running.

It was, however, a bit fiddly getting the error code out afterwards, but I managed by calculating and getting a 5 digit XOR code in the OBD; then it worked.

Thank you for all of your help in this thread!

no, if you have 469, 742, there is no OFFICIAL update to 17xx/1800

only at your own risk

Hi Giannis, It looks like the only upgrade path is to the 0471+0472 (0471 is apparently only a partial software). Otherwise, search through this thread to find out where to get files and how to flash them.

Hey, this is my first post here.
Since switching phones I have constant issues with android Auto, no matter which cable I use.

So, perhaps updating will help?

The car is a 2017 fabia III Combi (CHZC),  the relevant PR-number I found were I8E and RAF (Bolero).

the info in the car says Part Number: 5Q0045842C; Hardware: H41; Software: 0478

See also screenshots.

Is there a way I can update this myself?  The local skoda partner will mnost liekly charge a fortune.

BTW: there is no way to get this radio work with wireless AA, right?

Typo in the Part, its 5Q0035842C.
And I found the SW Train Version: MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0478T / H29.319.93_STD2Plus_EU

Looks like you can update to MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0480T - it can be found here: https://mibsolution.one/#/1/9/MST2 - TechniSat Preh/Firmware/SKODA_ZR/EU

Please read back the other pages for a guide on how to flash the software.

Hi Giannis, this guy says you can go from 0469 -> 0742 -> 1798 -> 1800.

I haven't tried it myself, so it will be at your own risk (as always) https://www.drive2.ru/l/650934799095051499/

Hello again,

I have download successfully all updates until 1798.

I tried to download 1800 but i got error 28: flashing

I read in this site https://www.drive2.ru/l/650934799095051499/ about a solution but i think, (from the translation) i need an obd reader, and i dont have one.

I just tap abort when i saw the error because i dont want to brick the unit. Should i press skip and wait for the update to complete?

Any ideas?

With the 1798 still i cannot have my s23 with android auto.

Well, I am definitely not an expert, but I wouldn't complete it. You'd need an OBD reader anyway to remove the B201A error (if you wanted to), but to sum up, I wouldn't take the chance.

By the way, a good OBD reader and the Car Scanner Pro app is not that expensive.

You'll need to consider if that expense is worth it in return of you maybe getting your S23 to work in your car.

Hello Gentlemens,

I am struggling with the following issue with Skoda Scala 2020:

When I start the engine the infotainment does not start properly -> only the initial screen with the skoda logo is displayed. While driving the infotainment tries to restart several times, but it freezes on the splash screen every time. Only way I am able to initiate the infosystem is when the engine is not running and I do a hard reset.

Do you guys advise me if updating SW can fix the issue? This is a FW I use:

If so, should I flash the same SW or a newer one? Can somebody share with me necessary file (binary) ?

Thank you very much for your help!
