LPG-food for my Octi vRS

Recommended Posts

Hello all you Skoda fans!

I`m about to purchase a LPG installation for my red Octi vRS.

Prices are to high when driving normal day after day.

And LPG keeps the engine cleaner than 98; proof when changing oil.

You earn it back after 30.000km/19.000miles = why not?

So did some research @ some local dealers and found a good&cheap one.

The company said it will cost 1850 euro`s, about 1250 pounds.

The brand is OHG, type X-450 with a 55L tank as "spare-replacement",

that X-type seems good for up to 150kw, wich is enough for me.

Switch anyway to 98 when driving Autobahn-speeds, when driving normal

(/ slow for most Briskodians) not expecting a lot of problems when running on LPG.

But the question is, anything known about OHG and that type of system?

Nothing after a search for it on the forums.

Maybe a few tips to watch for?

Btw: I have a vignet from Tsjech Republic behind the front-window since 2 months,

trying to start a rave.

That`s a tip for all of you :)

Off course then most of you have to wait 1 year untill next vacation :P

Greetings,

Snoetje

Thanks Alex!

I already saw your name coming up after the search.

Didn`t wanted to bother you with a mail.

If I remember correctly you`re vRS is doing 230bhp;

from what speed do you switch to 98?

And what is the brand of your installation?

There are quite some Germans driving 150bhp 1.8t with LPG, some

say they do 224km/h without problems...

Seems a little to fast for me. (regarding heat etc.)

Greetings and thanks again for the reply,

Snoetje

p.s. don`t like the vignet idea? :P

Mine will comfortable pull 140mph on LPG(In Germany obviously).

It dosen't swap to petrol unless i push the button.

Yes my car has an Impossible Performance re-map,Carbonio CAI,Full Milltek Exhaust System,Samco TIP,Jabbasport FMIC.

Mine is a Bi-Gas system, not the best kit for the engine i have since found out.

If your going to go for it i'd suggest going for a Prinz System, they get a very good review.
