Looking for some website testers - car related web app
Craig Lovelock replied to Craig Lovelock's topic in Off Topic Chat
Thanks Looking to launch on the 11th July. That is when advertising will be sorted for. All people that have registered for the testing will be credited with a premium status. Although the feature has no effect right now, it will have benefits in the few months after launch. Thanks to all who have helped so far and the positive responses. Anyone else interested can still message me or post here for the link. -

Thanks for the interest and feedback so far guys. Any issues reported have now been fixed* *on to the next batch... -
Morning all, got 10 minutes? Long story short... I have been developing a web app for the last year or so and am currently trying to get as many people testing as i can. Im not going to post link here or say details etc as i dont want to be advertising. Thats not what im trying to do. Just looking for some testers and feedback. Its a car website for build progress, just need some people to maybe register / and browse around and give some feedback. Can be used on mobile too if your busy and out and about right now. Anywhoo, send me a PM or post here and ill send you some details and the link + beta code. To the mods: Remove this / lock if its against the rules. Genuinely is a website that will be positive for all car communities though.

Haha. I remember reading your thread when i was on here the first time. I just bought a lemon thats all. Was doing like 35mpg on a good run! -
Hello. Maybe, 6 months ago, i bought my first fabia vrs. However, within a month i had spent £1k odd repairing, new steering rack etc etc. After a month or so, the oil started going missing, and not leaking! I went to numerous garages and for them to say either 'Your lying" or "We dont know" After all this i started having fueling issues and had it all drained for the fuel to look thick and black... i got rid of the car for cheap. I now have got myself a TT 225. Its a lovely car, but at 19, its getting quite expensive since im moving jobs alot etc atm and 26mpg doesnt feel good! + a £400 service coming up... Ive had an offer for cash on it next week... The decision is, can i go from 225bhp to the vrs? I thought my old fabia was quick, but i found out it had been clocked by over 70k miles and i didnt know what servicing or condition it was in! Anything to tempt me buying a fabia?

To get one at 3300 is a bit of a mission though tbh. All ones on 70k ish still seem to be going to 4.5k+ What was milleage of the autocar one?

Need vagcom ideally. I find those generic scanners never find anything... -
Lower IC pipe clip bits broke. Best repair?
Craig Lovelock replied to Craig Lovelock's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Just managed to get it back in there using some pliers... And now got the clip back on it and stuck a few cable clips using the interlock method. Will see how it goes. -

Ahh. Ill get out there later and see what i can do. I drove it today but didnt go over 3k revs lol. Mainly because i can hear it hissing where for some reason the pipe wont slot far enough in... One of the lugs is fine however. Will have a big bash later, and put a load of cable ties + duck tape! -
My lower IC pipe popped off where it attaches to the side mount IC. I went to get it back in but for some reason it just wont slot back in. One of the side bits that get stuck on the clip to keep it in have fallen off. Ive done a pikey cable tie repair but can hear it hissing all the time. Can i do anything with it? Or can i buy just that lower part of pipe? Thanks. Craig.

Fabia traction control problem
Craig Lovelock replied to b20wht's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Funilly enough: http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=209472 I was just doing my yesterday but seem to have done something wrong haha. -
Just went to check, the wires are the right way round. Does the wire used have to be specific? Also, there is no battery light when turning the key for ignition...? This is a rough rough idea of what i done. Cut the other side of the plug and then attached them that way. Is there some sort of sensor or resistor in the plug that is needed?
