Ok I've tried the search and I can't find the answer to this one.....so if anyone could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

When I switch off the ignition, the box with 6 wires on the o/s behind the coolant (some kind of vacuum unit????) continues making a noise for about 3-4 seconds, so I'm guessing it's about to fail. It looks like it's a sealed unit that would be easy to replace myself, has anyone done this? Am I going to cause bigger problems by fiddling about with this myself???
