This could get scary. Sometimes your imagination creates a better image than reality. How would ladies on this forum feel when they see I don't quite look like George Clooney after all?

ahhh...but as u can see i dont have that trouble... :giggle:

Lee: I like faces to names as well and will post my mug next to my Yeti as soon as I have it! But for those that can't wait THAT long here is a pic of me from Facebook.

What colour is your Yeti by the way?

After that how can the rest -old/fat/balding- hope to compete :S

I looked much better when I was three years old sitting on the Corgi (bike not dog)

Awh. No. <blush> It is not a competition. Our cars are the pretty, binding cement between us. Not our youngness or baldness or whatever. Post the fqce pics! It will just make our next physical adventure/get together so much easier.

I'm going to host a bit of a get together/meet and greet type thing at the garage shortly (well before the end of the year anyway), which will be another good way to meet each other in person.

I'll keep the forum posted on dates.

Would be nice to get a great Yeti turnout!

It'll most likely be on a Sunday.

Brilliant idea James! I'll come for sure. Can you perhaps also show us the retro-fit MDI bits? And a price for that? Thanks.

Ah yes...

Now there's an idea.

Does anyone know where that thread is with the part numbers in it for the retrofit MDi kit? I can't find it and search doesn't seem to work properly.

I was thinking a late morning meet at the garage.

Tea/coffee & bacon roll type thing, with access to a Skoda technician in our workshop for any quick little bits you want doing or just a free health check to make sure it's all fine.

I can update your Columbus maps to V6.1 (or whatever the latest is when I have the meet).

An indoor area if anyone wants to polish their cars inside (not everyone has a garage at home!) and share cleaning tips.

Various Skoda demonstrators available to take out for a drive including a Yeti 1.2TSi DSG, Fabia vRS and a Superb Estate.

Will look into having the ability to offer Revo remaps by a third party company on the day too, as it'll be a Briskoda thing rather than just a Yeti thing and a lot of the Octavia people tend to remap their cars.

I can dish out any preordered parts on the day too (mats, mdi leads, mudflaps, spare wheels etc).

Think that will be something a bit different from a normal Sunday and it'll be nice to meet everyone and for everyone else to meet everyone else.

As for dates,

Sunday 26th September or Sunday 31st October or Sunday 28th November?

26th September is the same day as the London 2 Brighton Land Rover run and the Abingdon 4x4 festival. Either of the other two would suit us better.

Thanks for the link Johann.

I think we have decided here that November would suit us best. As we have stuff on in October (I'm not around for part of the month anyway) and end of September is busy for us anyway. So November would be best.

I'll make another post just to gauge interest in the Yeti section first and then in my own area under 'Retailers' in the forum. I as ever will need to gauge an idea of numbers for insurance purposes and more importantly bacon supplies....

I'd pick November but purely because I only get my SM in early November!

Redwhitepauly and rockhopper should have their Yetis by then too!

Yes, just checked it again, looks like there will be a trio of Allams Yetis/Yeti, does anyone know what the collective term for group of Yetis are?

It will most likely be here the week before the event, so you could collect it that morning if you wish? Or you can collect it beforehand and of course come back on the day.

I'll probably collect my Yeti as soon as its available. Then I have the excuse for another drive....

Andy

I'll pick mine up asap after it has been PDi'd and had the autoglym treatment, if possible. Depends whether that 4 letter word gets in the way or notemoticon-0140-rofl.gif

I'm really undecided which colour to go for and this looks great - is it actually STEEL GREY?

See reply #5 in this very thread! emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

I assume therefore you mean it's PLATINUM grey, presumably a former colour no longer available, BUT the palette of colours on the French website still lists 'Argent PLATINE' which looks exactly like steel grey to me! Can someone explain these different silver/grey colours to me?
