Yetis at the Paris Motor Show

Featured Replies

I'm just back in the hotel after a day at the Paris Motor Show. Huge Skoda stand with three Yetis (and some other Skodas!) Not downloaded the pictures yet but saw lots of interesting Yeti things: a sixth active button below the ventilation controls of the Greenline Yeti (normal Yetis have a maximum of five buttons/blanks here), accessory stripes/stickers to the bonnet and doors of another, protective rubber running strips the length of the roof on another, a white Yeti with a green roof and every single Yeti had the shorter mid length aerial as seen on the Greenline Yeti pictures posted before in the Greenline Yeti thread.

I'll post the pictures of this and the stand when I get back.

I also got a free Skoda Greenline wind up LED torch and a green rubber man with interchangeable sucker or magnetic feet! I'll post pictures of him too!

[And by the way on Sunday it was 25 degrees and sunny here and I wore shorts and T shirt until I went to bed! In October!]

Done that around here and you'd have been locked up with a brazing torch!! :giggle:

Talking about these?

Roof Stripes

Decorative Hood Foil

Decorative Side Stripes

And here is something interesting:

Wheel arch extensions

I think there are a lot of interesting things on that site, with prices...

Thats a really interesting site.

Thanks

Mike

Yep those are the ones! Thanks for the links. Again so much stuff we are denied in the UK because we have an importer that would rather have been an importer of fashion than cars. Grrr.

Thanks for the thread, very interested in those wheel arch extension. Always wanted them, to me, that's what missing on the Yeti.

It also protect the wheel arches, I hope, someone put a massive dent on my front wheel arch the other day!! :-(

Have to agree - id be very interested indeed but it notes that they are not compatible with front mud flaps or parking assist! :'(

I'd guess both of those things could be worked around? I wonder if it would just be a case or drilling out a hole for the park assist sensor to sit inside, surrounded by the arch extensions?

My thoughts as well.

Do mud flaps get in the way when off-roading?

Mike

Yup; could do with a set of those.

Plus I quite like to Bonnet stripes!

Roof stripes, more decorative than really useful as they don't stick up enough.

Bonnet and side stripes, no thanks.

Wheel arch extensions, look good but wonder why you can't fit them with the mudflaps, and a little concerned on how they fit. If the only clip will they rub and remove the paint?

I quite like the side set for my white monster - are we presuming that because they have a Skoda part number we can actually order these ?

As I understood from the site, this is for dealer orders only (go to "Help" section). From here you can have an estimate price for what you want, and to try pushing your dealer more :)

Hmm, I read it the same way - dealer only. Now can we get a Czech dealer to play ball or anyone know of a way to get the bits and bobs not available to the UK into our dealer network?

Also it looks like the arch extensions might interfere with the clear protectors fitted to the rear flanks on those with a rough road package but not owning the car yet I'm not sure - anyone with the rough road package care to comment?

Those wheelarch extensions look very like those on my wife's Roomster Scout and presumably the other Scout versions as well.

They look pretty good especially at an equivalent of about £160, even if that's before they've been sent to the UK. I like the idea of protecting the rear doors, just in front of the rear wheels.

I reckon some sort of representations should be made to Skoda UK to bring them over or perhaps if we organised ourselves and approached a Czech dealer, we could arrange a job lot.

The roof stripes look quite good - they're more like protective ribs but I'm not so sure about the stickers.

OK I uploaded my pics and here they are:

The new stubby aerial (wihtout the ugly twirly stuff around it) and roof rubbing strips:

The amazing thing to me about these Yetis where their prices! Yikes the French pay a LOT of tax! The Elegance 2,0 140 DSG (with standard sunroof and Amundsen sat nav but no Xenons and a few other missing bits) is 32,730 Euro!!!!!!!! £10,000 more than we pay here in the UK for the same car!

They were the same size Paul. Might just be the photo.

Its the three point turn button. It should not be used with the park-assist.emoticon-0140-rofl.gif
