Crankcase Breather Hose

Featured Replies

My crankcase breather hose ( 06A103213F) has broken ~ due to stupid layout of catch-can pipework :dull:

It has failed due to the reducer section breaking off, after being pushed down too hard

Do I really need to replace the whole breather pipe, or can I make it stronger by clamping a reducer section over the remaining breather pipe ?

If not such a good idea, what the best/quickest dodge to get the car driveable ( to go get parts ) ...

I will be redesigning the catch can pipework myself - dont see why it has been built the way it has :wall: ...

Judging from oil in the pipework, the catch can wasn't getting any oil through

hopefully a bit better setup now

hope the glue & tape hold till the new part arrives ...

my system has been simplified, i'm just working with whats left

even with a catch can you will get oil building up in the pipes. Your set up looks very similar to mine, but my brake servo has also been simplified.
