Keep engine clean

Recently bought Karoq Sport line 2.0TSI (190ps),4+4,was shocked to find no engine cover fitted. The sales manager tells me Skoda not fitting them due to a technical issue with this model?, 2weeks since sale and still no second key for brand new car 😩

There is an issue with the engine cover and they need to be removed. You should get a revised cover when they become available.

If you are missing part of the car (a second key) then demand it, you have paid for it. If they refuse put them on notice to reject to formally get some action.

The Karoq was not included in that recall in the end (which only affected cars with the 2.0TSI engine), but it is interesting that engine covers are not being fitted to the facelifted cars.

I'm checking mine to ensure it is not loose, but so far have not found any problems with it.

Chris

Just checked my facelifted Karoq and there most certainly is an engine cover fitted.

@RCC49 The issue was not with the cover on 1.5 TSI's.
