Hi

Yes we do know about this Chinese only stretched version coming to a local Chinese dealer in a couple of years or so.

Not aware of it coming out of China yet. (once they start making them in 2013?)

That thread refers to a 60mm increase in length. That is only 6cm and would take the length from 4223mm to 4283mm.

Doesn't sound like a 7-seater.

The article linked above talks of a length of 4650mm (ie a 427mm increase on the current Yeti) which would definitely make 7 seats more feasible.

The Big Foot picture posted was someone's pipedream of a Škoda based on the far bigger VW Touareg. It will never happen. The one that might happes is the Yeti Combi - a stretched 7 seat Yeti:

I did think that if this was really on the cards we would have heard more. The wait goes on.

Just playing with Photoshop for fun... ;)

And for comparison the original:

Nothing mentioned on our API meeting and that included the next two models in the range, a sub Fabia mini based on the UP platform and a hatch to go in-between the Fabia and Octavia.

I hope the Up-based mini car would be relly cheap - ie sub £5k (unlikely, but wishful thinking!)

I am quite interested in the hatch between the Fabia and Octavia, I assume it would be based on the "Vision D". I am little confuse about the size, is there really a gap between that (size and price wise). The Fabia is now bigger than a Mk3 Golf, is there a need to fill a gap between basically a small family car (although Fabia is branded as a Super mini) and another small/mid family car?

I believe there will be a gap as it is rumoured that the Octavia mkIII will be a bigger car.

Ah, thanks, so just like the new Jetta then!
