Featured Replies

Hi all, my roomster developed this fault today, the car will not reverse when in R, rev will not go up. And when in D only !st and 3rd gear can be used, no 2nd or any of other gears.
Any ideas please?

Thanks.

Sorry, forgot to mention its a 2015 64 plate with approx 70k miles. 1.4TSI

Thx

@Tonyfly Probably a faulty gearbox control unit, the mechatronics

On a 2015 car shouldn’t suffer from wrong oil fusing the circuits

I would suggest calling an auto transmission specialist, as it isn’t a DIY job to fix it.  A Skoda dealer would probably charge lot more to do it

Depending on what it is, what needs replacing, and how much disassembly to fix it is hard to guess.  Hopefully none of the actual gears inside need any repair, but part of actuation system might.

Thanks John, called several gearbox specilist, some insisting on a reverse folk but some others insisting on a faulty clutch,

price vari between £1,200-£1,500.

Don't know who is right and who shall I go for........

In 2017 there was a Service Campaign called on some DQ200's from 2013-2015.

This is a Software Update.

The reason for this was leaking / failing DSG's.  '34h5'.

This is not the same as the 2014 service campaign on 2009-2012 DQ200 DSG for the Synthetic Oil to Mineral change and a software update.

'34H5' might show here if outstanding.   It did not until VW Group Australia started another 'recall' @ the end of 2019.  Covering 2009-2015/16.

This was a member local to me who had his DQ200 repair done by my friend.

(This is the DQ200 that were filled with Synthetic from the factory, but the information on the MCU and the selector from 'Mickmartin' still relevant to the DQ200 in this case.)

Thanks for your reply, I have run my vin but there seems no recall for mine. Went for Eco Torque which should be £1500 all inclusive as long as mechtronic is not broken otherwise will be £2400.

Fingers crossed. Thanks gentlemen to all your replies and helps.

This is interesting. Are we talking model year or production year ?

I sincerely fear our belowed 2013 'Family' has been given it's death sentence by a failing DQ200...
It differes on day to day basis, but early symptoms is it slams into next gear on semi-load, and jutters somewhat now and then.
The other day it totally lost its drive, jut revving and triggering the EPC and check engine light.

I fear it is a local cost of approx 2500 GBP, for a car worth 2500-3000 GBP, so I'm a bit bummed out and need a proper estimate on this prior to adding more cost to it in other service parts needed too. 😞

The '34H5' was on MY 2013 cars,  DQ200's produced after the Summer 2012, those before were covered under 34F7.

There were cars / DQ200,s late 2012 tto early 2013 hat were not part of the Service Campaigns, according to Skoda / VW.

That was wrong and if interested look at the last pages in the pinned thread at the top of the Fabia Mk2 section.   'Flashing white spanner' and those cheated or lied to by Skoda.
